When they played the NME tent last year the crowd seemed to go mad regardless of the songs they played... my preference is Dookie obviously but as long as they play Jesus of Suburbia i'll be loving it.

Regarding brand new again, I'm listening to random stuff of theirs and have noticed all the ones I prefer are on the devil something album. Is that a more commercial album for them or something?

Glad to hear you like them... doubt they will do much around Reading but they will be touring in no time with a new album... hope they don't just do a big date at Wembley again... was cool last time but would prefer them to do a decent academy/university tour so I can see them a couple times. Their dates in Cardiff and Bristol in 2011 are two of my fave gigs of all time.

Yeah I did look at their previous tours so hoping they return to Cardiff or Bristol as they're the only place I can get to really. Although Bristol can be a nightmare for trains home! Really enjoy gigs at Cardiff uni hall!

Trains home from Bristol do suck. Look at the Megabus. Bit slower getting back but leaves not long after the gigs at academy finish (and leaves from Colston Hall right near the Academy). The Great Hall is one of my fave venues. Saw Cancer Bats there last weekend (although was in Great Hall 2 configuration).

I've never thought about that actually! Going to see Frank Turner in may so will have a look! Yeah I've seen bands in the Great Hall and the smaller Solus bit. Both good venues.

He is doing his only UK show until November on Sunday, and I had free tickets but couldn't make it because of an accounting exam. I am so gutted

I was checking out some of the bands i hadn't listened to from the lineup and came across Swim Deep.. i listened to Honey and watched the video and they just annoyed me because of how hipster they look.

I now can't get them out of my head. help.

Wouldn't class it as commercial just an incredible album in my opinion. The first four tracks are amazing. Gutted they're not playing high up on the NME though, not sure they'll come across as well on the main.

Can understand them being awful in 2008... since they didnt play... it would have purely been grasshoppers chirpring and drunken yobs shouting.. However in 2007 and 2009 they were very good but hundred times better at their own shows in 2011.
