I quoted him - and then tried to see his reasoning behind what he was saying, because Russia isn't a part of the EU, so maybe that's what he meant when he said they wouldn't be playing Mainland Europe. But I was quoting what he said and you decided to get all pedantic about it. It was a quote, he said they aren't playing mainland Europe besides Knebworth and maybe a warm up gig in Moscow. You can pick that apart all you want buddy, but that's what he said.

What? I'm sorry but how is quoting Roger Taylor being defensive of Sonisphere? I'm just saying what he said, then I thought well maybe he just meant 'that' as I know he's technically wrong, georgraphy wise. It's got nothing to do with Sonisphere. Stop trying to start an argument out of nothing...

We were talking about exclusives and I said Roger Taylor said Queen MIGHT be doing a show in Russia, but Knebworth is the only place to see them in mainland Europe certainly. Yeah Knebworth isn't in mainland europe, and Russia technically is in Europe - as a continent. But that's what he said, and as I said, maybe he meant the EU which Russia isn't a part of, or the major EU countries like France, Spain, Italy, Germany etc... I dunno. I was trying to contribute to a discussion, something you seem incapable of doing without trying to be a dick to me about it.

This is the exact quote by the way(Context - he was asked if they'll be doing any other shows, perhaps one in Moscow): ""Yeah well we might nip over to Moscow for a show, but it's definitely our only show in the UK this year, and certainly mainland Europe, apart from Moscow and Knebworth, that's it""

That's not my opinion, that's not what I think. That's what ROGER TAYLOR of QUEEN said. So you can be like that all you want, but I can't see how quoting someone to add some info to a discussion is being needlessly defensive.

Is that all you can say? Really? Wow, what a valuable addition to the discussion

Would you like me to draw a diagram on how quotations work, so you know that when somebody quotes someone, it's not their own personal opinion/words? Seeing as you seem a bit simple and unable to grasp the concept.

How has it changed for Refused :S ? And I imagine Mastodon must be an English festival exclusive then, rather than the whole UK, that's pretty common - especially as T is in the same weekend and sells out straight away anyways so I'm sure they don't mind sharing the odd act.

Queen aren't a world exclusive though, yeah. They said they MIGHT do a show in Russia to warm up, but apart from that Knebworth is a one off, so it's Euro exclusive and potentially world exclusive depending on what they do to warm up.

Ah I see. Well the newspiece on the Soni Website describes it as their first show since 1998 but then goes on to say: "With a reputation that if anything has only grown stronger in the fourteen years since they declared themselves dead, the promise of REFUSED’s only UK show will doubtless satisfy not only SONISPHERE ticket holders, but a good many of their peers on the bill too"

So they are still saying Only UK show - guess time will tell though. To be honest I can't see them not being a festival exclusive, considering how big a slot they've been given and I can't see Reading giving them something similar.

I think saying Refused to headline Lockup was always ridiculous. The tent is only like the size of an academy and one of the biggest reunion stories of the year would not be stiuck in somewhere as small as that. Unless they did the double slot of Main and Lockup.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
