Supernintendo Chalmers
Checking out some of the already announced acts playing over the Summer i'd gladly take: Inspiral Carpets Band of Skulls Wolfmother Happy Mondays Joris Voorn Beardyman Thievery Corporation
Dave The Hedgehog
I think I'd take about 99% of the Austin Psych Fest line-up, I'd poach Daniel Johnston from the Wilderness line-up, and about 75% of End of the Road's line-up. Some great bands at I'll Be Your Mirror too - could you see Slayer at Bestival? Be amazing.

Dave The Hedgehog
I've seen Slayer maybe 4 or 5 times in my life and every gig left me battered and bruised. It's an exercise in physicality and endurance. One of the first bands I ever saw live. I was hoping to see them at ATP in May with Mogwai and Guided by Voices but I won't be - shame really. Of all the gigs I used to look forward to when I was younger, Slayer were always at the top. It's not really because of them, their age, the idea that they're past it (they're not), or because they've been playing more or less the same set since 1986. It's just they supply a great backdrop to absolute chaos. That said, I haven't seen them since 2006 so they might have aged dramatically in the last 6 years. Look at Mick Hucknall. Dave The Hedgehog
I think Slayer would be going against Bestival's 'peace and love' kind of feel hah. Everyone trying to murder each other would be a funny sight there.
Joe-
DIIIIIEEEEE!!!! Ooooh terribly sorry, are you ok? Here, have a free hug and some neon paint. Would you like a cup of zinfandel? If I were to choose another festival as well as Bestival to go to (if I had the money to do it right now), I'd go to End of the Road without question. I've heard a lot of really good things about that place and the line-up looks lovely. It's also a bit of a bugger being so close to Bestival but being in that neck of the woods, you could easily camp for a few days until it's time to get the boat over to the Isle of Wight. I might look into doing that later on in the year if it turns out I'm going to Bestival on my own.
kaosmark2
Slayer suck live. Maybe they were good a while ago, but I've seen them at 3 festivals in the past 5 years and I've walked away mid-set because of how crap they were. dingbat2
I read somewhere that Gary Numan will sub Hot Chip on the Thursday? Does anyone know what time Numan would likely be on, I am desperate to see the legend again. I booked the ferry (for 1.30pm on Thursday) and ticket not realising this so need to have time to get there and pitch before the master performs! Cant risk missing him! Supernintendo Chalmers
Saw Band of Skulls in a tiny venue in Exeter last night. Thought they were excellent and would love them added to the undercard
