Given that I think all of the footy heads have probably booked all the leave for that weekend to watch the Euros, I will probably be working and catching the odd match on telly.

I've gone and booked The Secret Garden Party on the strength that it invites people to be creative and join in etc. However I only looked at the photos of last years event last night and noticed that there wasn't any old people like myself (46 years) in the photos. Basically everybody looks about 20. Has anybody been to this festival / do older people go / are me and my mate going to stand out like a pair of dirty old men?

It does indeed look brilliant. Even at Glasto I'm more into what goes on in the other fields than the main stages. SGP seems to pack a punch in the same area. It's nice to see people be creative. It's the right anti-dote to the way we are forced to live normally (he says, getting off his soap box). As you say - it's got to be better than being at home not working. I'm sure you'll get a fair bit of time off to enjoy the spectacle. Having only found this website just before last Glasto I'm still rusty with how e festers meet up. Do you know if this is only done at the main festivals or will there be a camp at SGP - I can't seem to find information on here but don't know if that's down to my poor technical ability or whether it doesn't exist?

Nice one Katster. I've only got as far as buying an efests t shirt. I would have liked to have gone to the first meet at Glasto just gone, but it was hard to commit when I was meeting up with friends I rarely get to see in person nowadays. If I get a ticket for Glasto 2013 I declare here and now that I will get to the meet. It would be nice to put some faces to some names. At first I thought it was all corny but I've since changed my mind on that.

Be good to see you at SGP. We can set up a mini efests camp at the very least. We'll show them what's what!

I don't normally buy merchandised products such as t shirts, but the little dancing man (or whatever it is) appealed to me for some reason which I can't explain. I bought it for that reason and to give something back to this site I suppose. I have also fairly recently bought one of those big pod sleeping bags via this site. Gone are the days of getting into a normal sleeping bag, which I find are like straight jackets.

Busy one for me, well I've made it busy as I'll miss Glasto so much! So, we have my fella's 40th, our wedding and then the Stone Roses in June, Kendal Calling (hopefully) in July and Bestival in September!!
