Lock Up 2012

Guest jump

Recommended Posts

Bored so I thought I try a 2012 Lock Up thread.

Sonic Boom 6, Against Me! & Skints all have new albums out next year and ain't played in awhile. Also reckon We Are the Ocean, Man Overboard & Social Distortion could be in with a shout.

against me! would be great, missed them last time. social distortion would be awesome, never seen em and ,as infrequent visitors to the uk,i doubt many have.

small brown bike and old firm casuals would be good for lower down the bill

also,.its a few years since we've seen our old pals, pennywise, reel big fish and lagwagon.

oh,and less than jake!

RANCID (i think all posts on this thread should end with the word RANCID)

just thinking, if by any chance billy talent play r&l, could they do a 2nd set in the lock up? like frank turner & nofx have done in the last two years.

cause i know a few years back they headlined it - in 2009.

probably unlikely but hey

How busy does the lock up get these days? Last time I went in there was to see a bit of Cerebral Ballzy in '10 & there were about 50 people standing around watching the car crash that was happening on stage.

Also the fact that Creamfields is the same weekend would make 2 days of big dance acts difficult to book. As well as the fact a lot of people buy tickets to R+L purely for the lock-up, and stray little from it.

theres too many other dance festivals/events on that bank holiday weekend which limit the amount of people they can get. Creamfields is the real killer as a lot of artists struggle to do reading, leeds and cream.

every time I went in/past the dance tent this year it was packed every time though. I prefer it as the the lock up even though I like dance stuff more, the 'dance tent' is a helmet magnet.
