c) The Arsenal fans I know from uni, which include regular match goers, would have taken 5th and the cup. Definitely and they said as much to me when they were still going for both. Fourth is a prize but it isn't a cup. It isn't memorable, there's no glory, there's no memories. Atm there's even very little chance of an English team going on to win the CL even if you do qualify. That lack of glory makes it easier to attract criticism, because the things you do well (and Wenger's done very well at finishing 4th) have very mundane outcomes.

a - I agree, for some reason the media seemed to struggle with the fact that early season when arsenal were struggling the last thing they needed was a combative english midfielder like joey barton. Wenger has taken a club without a consistent record of top 4 finishes throughout their history to top 4 finishes 100% of the time, that deserves respect without putting the boot in.

b- Liverpools run at present is as bad as any arsenal run and I dont see them going after Kenny. Its not just the criticism its the manner it was done which at times made him seem like an incompetent clown. Arry also is on a bad run but again no criticism for the man who in his long managerial career has won the same amount of silverware and achieved the same premier league high position as ex wrexham managerial flop brian little.

c - The not won anything claim is a bit deceptive as football has (unfortunately to me) changed in that 4th position is effectively a prize, just without a trophy at the end. The unfortunate truth is that if you asked both fans and clubs in the top 7 next season 5th and an fa cup win or 4th and out of the fa cup in the 3rd round, probably only newcastle fans would take the former.

All this stick harry is getting for not winning alot, just a little question.

How many english managers have won trophies in the last 15 years?

Who cares, as long as if they appoint him they make it clear to the fans that it means England won't win. :P

After all, the hype with Sven and Postman Pat was that they were top managers and might have England bring home a trophy. So if they appoint 'Arry they should make a statement of the opposite.

Its funny before the game it didnt occur to me that Moyes would play a weakened game. Probably a sensible decision, hard not to put your best team out in a derby game but with the teams left in the cup they will never get a better chance to win it.

Also surely the biggest result of the day is blue square premier leaders fl$$twood conceding a last minute goal and finally dropping points, or is that just me!

It was a selection which suggested everton didnt want to make the game easy but were clearly prioritising the sunderland game. Im not sure its that risky a tactic as everton arent really in a europa league or relegation battle. Its just a bit unlucky that the game before the fa cup qf was a derby. With Man U, Man city and Arsenal out of the competition, everton have to prioritise the cup over everything else.

Unless they get to a cup final though, that's their biggest game of the season. Getting their arses handed to them in a derby could be a momentum killer and I doubt that whatever Moyes did tonight would effect Sat/Sun's conditioning too much. Liverpool have a game as well remember. Everton fans seem very very pissed off.

Though saying that, we changed four and they changed six... Not THAT much difference.

And that's how to do it.

there was some decent link up play from Carroll and Suarez too. They might, eventually, be heading towards something decent.

But Carroll still spends far too much time on his arse for a big man. Even the smaller players were bumping him over.

Carroll managed some very decent tracking back & defensive play too. Perhaps his future is as the world's most expensive centre back? :P

If there is not enough evidence there should never be a charge. Like you say it is the right result. But I don't think anyone can come to the conclusion is this did or did not happen going off the CPS comments. Specially with the line that witness statements tending to go along with the suspects. That obviously shows others made statements agreeing with the player. Mates looking after their own ?

oh, so when it suits you, you do say that the law and how the implementation of the law pans out DOES get it wrong.

You are everything you condemn.:lol::lol:

LMAO

No one has got anything wrong in this case on the fact of it... You can only prosecute if you have enough evidence... He may or may not have said something.

a prosecution can only happen if there's enough evidence AND a human who reviews that evidence thinks it's convincing enough to get a conviction.

Which is absolutely no different to....

a conviction can only happen if there's enough evidence AND a human who reviews that evidence thinks it's convincing enough to get a conviction.

In neither case does the outcome necessarily match what really happened.

If you had more than 2 brain cells you'd have realised that a very long time ago.

Secondly... He hasn't been found not guilty... The CPS have not found enough evidence to charge him so he rightly has not been charged. The findings of the CPS mean nothing more or less than this. They certainly do not mean it hasn't happened. But neither does it mean it did.

Harry, was charged and found NOT GUILTY in court. That has nothing to do with this.

I never accused you of racism... Just like the FA never charged Suarez with racism... But Liverpool fans seem to be so over sensitive you take it that way.

ooopppss :P

I have called people racist to their face. Namely the BNP scum activists when they where drumming up anti Asian feeling when I was living in Oldham. You would of thought they hit me but they didn't.

Like I said... The process the FA went through for me confirms his guilt.

So now you again reject what you accepted just a few posts above.:lol:

As for the process, that was a joke. The original accusation by Evra and the basis of the charge against Suarez was done on a version of events that both Evra and the FA now say never happened .... so how the fuck can any trust be put in anything of that process, when the process changed it's whole basis mid-way thru?:lol:

Something probably happened to cause Evra offence is about the only safe conclusion that can be reached, but whether that something was everything that the FA concluded is another thing entirely.
