A good news story about my own club

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-north-east-wales-14431544

Amazin for fans to pull together and raise 90k in a day to save a football team. Now with us due to be a community owned team, hopefully the future will be brighter after the best part of 10 horrible years.

An amazing achievement in just one day. :)

That's something every Wrexham fan can rightly feel proud of, very well done.

Not meant as a cheap dig buddy, just being truthful. Only United, City and Chelsea can afford the wages that the top players feel they "deserve", certainly with respect to the players outside their first 11.

Thats a bit old hat now isn't it, and slightly inapropriate considering both clubs are up shit creek, back at square one in their non fit for purpose stadiums, with neither party seemingly having any hope on moving forward with an option

I will go with a similarly old skool jibe

It was a cheap one Benj. Never meant to be taken seriously.

Agree with you obv. about the other stuff. Ten years from now both clubs will still be in their current stadia.

I know.

We need to share a stadium, as painful as it will be, if we can somehow con the council into building one for free with purple seats, both clubs will be well set up to move forward

Ian McGarry from BBC 5Live

First round of talks between Sneijder officials and #MUFC failed to reach agreement on personal terms. More talks planned.

Inter know there are a lot of obstacles to overcome. Cant sell Eto'o + Sneijder on same day. V Bad fan PR. Hence statement.

glad to see that your window repairers are still determined to make you bankrupt, and if they don't succeed one way they'll try another. :P

I was only messin' in fairness. It is true SP - about LFC at least. We are still years off challenging. Irrespective of whether Carroll turns out to be a turkey or not - something no one can be sure of yet.

The other two are financial dopers of the most blatant kind but AFC should be competing on and off the pitch with Man Utd. Those with more smarts (and knowledge) than me might be able to explain whether it is the cavalier attitude towards debt that is tipping the balance in MUFC's favour however. If true then maybe Arsenal are playing the long game whereby they emerge in a reinforced/strengthened position in ten years time. Time will tell.

    • So we've signed a Horny Czech, and Bruno's turned up the training camp instead of doing Isak's nonsense.   Still not sure I believe Bruno's staying mind, but glad he's not doing the sh*t Arsenal are asking him to do to lower the price. If they want him they can stump up.   My suspicion is that whichever of Madrid/Man City don't start next season with Rodri will go for Bruno, and one of them will come in while Arsenal have f**ked about trying to get him cheap, which while I absolutely want to keep him, would still be good enough bants and a nice middle finger that I wouldn't mind it so much. I just wish we'd report Arsenal for tapping up.   If rumours are to be believed, we're after 2 more defensive signings, and an attacking player, on top of a replacement if Bruno leaves, having already signed a LW, 2 CMs, a GK, and some youth players. Huge churn, but apart from a couple of Bazou Toure's games for Ivory Coast at the world cup, I've not seen any of them play. Over 2 summers we've basically changed our entire team aside from the CBs.
    • I think the level of headliners Bloodstock get is varied    There's been bands who have gone on to play Download in quite a low spot like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Opeth etc.    Then they've had years like 2025 where you can argue that all three headliners are download main stage sub level    Knocked Loose right now i'd argue are 3rd down on main/opus headliner level while EC and FFDP are borderline main stage sub
