Ahhhh that's my wonderful salsa and mojito place I have been banging on about all year! Spent a happy 3am-5am there last year but did not have a clue what it was called or where it was.

Thanks :D

Oh wow! I'm going 3 weeks after we get back for a 5 week expedition as a research volunteer, you have just got me even MORE excited ! :D

And yeah it's the tropical storm season ha I check the weather daily for some reason, still like 30 degrees there though

Ahhhh my two highlights of summer combined!

I agree with most of the above.

1. The vouchers did come late last year.

2. The food was great and beer was lovely. The vouchers did make a bit of difference though not much.

3. Portions were good although was quiet when we went.

4. I brought one of the cigars I had brought back from Havana and chilled for an hour on Sunday afternoon having a great smoke, brought back great memories.

5. Most definitely the rainy season, we went a week after Glastonbury 09, never seen so much rain. The best electrical storm and downpour ever. The water was about a foot deep within about 10 minutes of the rain starting and you couldn't see in front of you it was that heavy.

Reading this thread has brought back some great memories of two of my favourite places and probably the best month of my life in Summer 09. Gutted I won't be going to either again for a while as I don't have a ticket this year and my wife didn't like Havana.

I emailed for vouchers before Glasto last year and never got them either (though I did get spam emails from them for a few months after Glasto). I have to say that I went there at Glasto a couple of times last year and found it a bit grim. One of our party compared it to the kind of entertainment you would be subjected to on a cruise which seemed to hit the nail on the head. My two pennies (hope it doesn't sound too negative as I'm sure lots of other people loved it)...

    • Jesse Malin at Manchester Halle St Peter's last night.   So good to see him back touring after the trauma he has been through, him and the backing band sounded great.   Support was Bason. I quite enjoyed him, but man, that guy cannot sing.
