Robyn

Ok I have to admit that Robyn is a guilty pleasure of mine. I saw her live a V Festial a couple of years ago and was impressed with her live performance. Lots of artist of her type just stand around and sing but she really commanded the stage.

Anyway has anyone seen her live lately? What setlist is she likely to play?

thanks

Why a guilty pleasure? She's awesome.

I dislike the term "guilty pleasure". I either like something or I don't. I don't find it totally incongurous to like Godspeed but to have spent the whole weekend listenin to the new Nicola Roberts album unashemedly

Just to agree that the concept of Guilty Pleasures is daft and that enjoying Robyn is definitely nothing to be ashamed about. Few other acts playing Glasto this year will have released a single in in the last year or so as flipping awesome as Dancing On My Own. If I had a daughter I'd want her to look up Robyn rather than people like the effing Pussycat Dolls.

Robyn is no guilty pleasure!!! Shes one of the best pop acts around at the moment, I wouldn't mind seeing her and probably would if she were booked to play ANY other stage other then the John Peel. It's just so out of the way and I have a schedule full of clashes & I rarely see anyone perform the John Peel (it's not easy to do it on a whim either as it's near nothing of note) what a shame :(

Hadn't heard any Robyn until the other week, but have heard good things about her.

Be Mine was featured on the new Ideal series and I thought it was pretty damn good. Might give a listen to more of her stuff.

When you said that you made me think she had a tour! But alas she is only at Manchester and Bristol, not fair :( The Manc one is on my birthday as well! Ah well, will definitely have to see her at Glastonbury!

Totally agree with what others have said about having guilty pleasures. What an idiotic concept. If you feel guilty about listening to music you really should give up on pop music all together and get out a subscription to Q magazine. Urgh.

Also totally agree that Robyn is the jont most perfect pop star on the planet in 2011. Throw in Janelle Monae on Saturday night and it's a full house.

Sunday night in John Peel is looking mighty fine. Hurts, then Robyn, with Mike Skinner to finish off.

Yeah I totally agree with what most people are saying about guilty pleasures, mainly because it reminds me of when I was a smug pretentious prick who only listened to SERIOUS GUITAR MUSIC NO POP SHIT I AM ABOVE THAT etc haha! If you feel ashamed listening to something I'm inclined to think you don't deserve it at all.

Robyn is mega cool. I've heard she's brilliant live but it seems she clashes with Hercules & Love Affair, who I couldn't miss for the world!

Wouldn't call it lately but I saw her about ten months ago and she was doing the likes of Fembots, Don't f**king Tell Me What To Do, Dancing On My Own, Hang With Me as well as older stuff such as Dream On, With Every Heartbeat, Handle Me and Be Mine. Am sure she'll add newer stuff like Indestructible and Call Your Girlfriend to that.

Was not especially a fan at all until I saw her - WOW did she impress me. SO much energy. Would be one of my top 3 to see at the festival - but Pendulum are in my top 2 :(

Robyn is awesome I think,

Dancing on my own

With Every Heatbeat

Be Mine

All great songs imho and she is good live too.

If I was to make a top three of female scandinavian pop stars it would look a bit like this

1. Annie - my future wife!

2.Robyn

3, Lykke Li

I hope that helps :)
