Everything on my shelf ready to go. Just washed and waterproofed my tent, airing my nice new sleeping bag, checking air bed for punctures, washed my trolley, bought my beer, cleaned my wellies, bought lots of mini travel size items....

Is it just me, or does preparing so early mean you end up with about double what you mean to take? I keep looking for more things to do!

Everything's in neat piles on the spare bed, and I have everything now except my new sleeping bag which is currently in the hands of Royal Mail en route from Milletts. I'll pack the day before, otherwise I get paranoid that I've forgotten something and end up unpacking to check...

My stuff has been on the bedroom floor for a while, won't pack until the morning i leave, otherwise i get stuck in a pack check cycle!

I don't take a huge amount of stuff and know i could get anything i needed there so i don't know why it affects me so.

Will probably have a test pack next weekend as we are trying to stick as much as possible in rucksacks (sleeping bags etc) as there will be 4 of us and luggage in the car so will be trying out some strategic packing ideas!

Part packed and kit gathered from my mums.

One thing I have done is removed a few tins from one of my beer boxes replaced them with nitrous chagers and resealed them it looks perfect and the reason i did it was because the two times I've been searched they didnt even look at the beers, would anyone else have confidence in this method of stashing?

Fair comment. If we gathered together every discarded trolley wheel from the carpark you could make rollerskates for the entire population of Sheffield.

I love poundland though, I didn't know I needed half that stuff, only went in there for a pack of cheap batteries and always come out having spent about 12 quid. To be fair though, I have bought some right useless crap (my favourite was a 3 pack of biscuits that had a recall notice up about 3 months later in the window as they potentially contained shards of metal....3 months, mind. Because we'd all still have the biscuits 3 months later)

Will pack Sunday before & load the car up on the Monday night ready to scoot off after Tuesdays lectures!

Would love to pack now as would give me an outlet for my excitement but a) I don't have anywhere to store the packed rucksack etc and b ) I don't have enough clothes to be able to pack now...don't fancy going to uni in the nude!

So for now will just have to content myself with double and triple checking my beloved Excel spreadsheet...

I've decided to pack now with my exams coming up - spread over a 85l rucksack, huge gym bag, and a smaller rucksack. Not looking forward to lugging this on the bus to Manchester coach station, then from one coach to another when we change in London and then IN THE SEARING heat all the way from Gate A to Park Home.

But oh well :D

Wanting to pack but I know of I do I'll start getting grump because I'll want to go as soon as the zip on my bag gets done up.

Is there a theme for fancy dress this year for the forum lot. Other half and I did Nun and monk.....it was great, just the two if us and all sorts stopping us to tell us there sins. Alot of people also stood back from us??? which made moving arund during busy periods. Anyway back to the question, is there a forum theme?

Only just finished washing clothes post Primavera! Plus I've another 2 weeks of work. I don't own enough clothes to go taking some out of circulation already.

Bone of contention at the moment - since this is the GF's first non working Glasto she says my 3 man is too small for us and stuff.

She wants this:

But I'm worried that given we arrive first thing Thursday (although we tend to camp in the new areas by the JP stage) it's a bit of a monster and won't fit
