Wear cargo shorts/trousers - means you shouldn't need to take a bag thanks to the many and large pockets.

Always leave camp with a good quality bin bag (sitting on, use as rain coat), sheets of toilet roll flattened and few wet wipes in your pocket.

Have a shower in Green peace in the afternoon - refreshing after the midday heat and no queues. May improve chance of aforementioned wake up blowjob .

You CAN get to the front if you want - move when people are dancing and make slow and steady progress when not, gently sticking your arm through first so people can see you coming and move aside (I still say 'excuse me', but it does get drowned out).

Now you're at the front, if you want to get out and avoid the crush, get to the front (crowd surfing may help) and get pulled out by the bouncers. Have to do this before the set finishes, but you definitely avoid all the hassle if you do.

(1) Dignity / self respect - to be discarded at the earliest opportunity

(2) Soul - to be retained at all costs

(3) Remaining brain cells - to link up together in a beautiful daisy chain before expiring

(4) Sunny disposition - to be chemically induced

(5) Friends - to be savoured as one of the best things life has to offer.

My list circa '81

1. Don't take a Tent (good tip for making friends)

2. Don't buy a Ticket

3. Sleeping Bag

4. Wear same clothes for five days and under no circumstances wash or have contact with any cleaning product except toothpaste.

5. Carry large, bulbous acrylic Bong everywhere you go.

Oh how things have changed

1> Different wallet/purse (or just empty the one you have). I only take money, cash card, RAC card and Driving license (incase you need to prove who you are).

2> Safety pins, seal up part of your pockets. Sitting on the floor does make things fall out easier.

3> Gaffer tape, fixes everything from a ripped tent to a camping chair.

4> Good quality (but not winter type) walking socks (never used to, but once you have you will never go back).

5> Change of clothes to put on after the walk from car and effort of getting wood and putting up camp. If it is hot you will be sweaty, nice to put on fresh clothes as part of the relaxation routine. Everything done, now time to enjoy.

these are mostly repeats- but worth saying again

1. pop up tent (preferably quechua) makes life a LOT easier, warm sleeping bag as it does get chilly at night- and a blow up bed.

2.spirits- decant to plastic bottles, easier than carrying crates of beer and last longer (ive made a few bottles of flavoured vodka)

3. plety of undies in case you get wet- nothing worse than soggy undies, also leave a clean set in the car for the journey home and in case of emergency.

4. wet wipes and hand sanitiser- esential for a festival wash- and gives you a better chane of getting that illusive morning blow job.

5. money- leave some in the car, just in case you loose some or get robbed- horrible but it does happen.

and obviously dont forget your ticket, HAVE FUN GUYS- SEE YOU ALL THERE

1. A wheelbarrow with proper pumped up wheel - so easy to push

2. Materials for roaching (most important)- no explanation needed!

3. Lots and lots of water - I drink two litres as soon as I wake up which sorts me right out!

4. Bring something which covers the back of your neck - It's going to very sunny again and this part of your body usually gets burnt the quickest (or is that just me?)

5. Bring an open mind - Crazy things are happening so join in!

In no particular order

1- head torch, nothing more annoying than a mate who cant hold the light still when skinning up.

2- uncle bens flavoured rice, very tasty just boil stuff.

3- extra lighters.

4- makes sure you see at least one stone circle sun rise.

5- large bowl, I take a mixing bowl makes washing so much easyier and you get a better scrub.

1.) Always bring more than you think you'll need when it comes to money, booze and cigarettes

2.) Visit one place you've never been

3.) Open your tent right up and lie with your head at the door when it starts getting warm, I find I can sleep for an extra bit doing this.

4.) Buy a cheap radio, Worth FM is a great listen and you can get a cheap radio for about £4 from the supermarket.

5.) Don't worry about whatever anyone else thinks of you, just have fun!

The normal stuff, hand sanitiser, wet wipes, cheap blow up lilo, tent :D

I also take proper blister plasters as they are truly ace, peppermint foot spray to cool down those achy feet and brandy/whisky in plastic bottles of course! Nowt like sitting up at the stones at 4am with a large liberally laced cup of hot coffee.

I go for comfort over style at my age. ;)

Ooh I've got one, and its a good one too!

Before you pack line your rucksack with a strong bin liner, then pack all your clothes and seal the bin liner before closing the top of the rucksack. We all know it isn't going to rain no way jose but there is just a micro chance that we are all wrong. Nothing worse than unpacking and finding all your clothes are soaked!

Another one has already been mentioned but for people with a car keep a full change of clothes in it for when you get back on monday. The drive home is so much nicer.

Put those valuables and at least half your money in the lockups. That way if you lose your wallet/purse although it will be a bad day, all will not be lost.

Cuticura.
