eFestivals
Weird act to add this early. Hoping it doesn't mean he has a huge position in that case I'd guess given his popularity that he'd be one of the more major names. He might not even play - but I do know he's been asked. luckysalt
Fucking hell, one of the major names! Is he that big? I mean I know he has kuat had a number one but he's not that big surely,. I mean could he headline second stage? Say opposite the Roses? Id be fine with him taking that slot ha ha

I wouldn't think he'd be as high up the bill as you've said there, tho that's only my presumption (I don't have any info on where he might play if he does). Bisque
Last summer he pulled out of both Global Gathering & Bestival. Saw the end of his set at Bestival '10 & he was pretty good. I would say Labrinth also would be very likely to play.
PaulDavis
I'd expect an appearance from Snow Patrol, they've got a tour going for the beginning of 2012; subheadling Stone Roses?
gazza_20
So Coldplay who were expected by a few to be playing V Fest too next year. Does Coldplay's announced Stadium gigs rule them out? These stadium gigs then oct/nov arena tour seems more likely?

gazza_20
In recent years I've seen The Killers, Muse and Eminem at V. None of them did big outdoor gigs that same year. The only two have done Hyde Park I think in recent years were Oasis in 09 and Kings of Leon in 10. But KOL were tour whores doing arena tour every other day haha. Could still happen I guess, with their outdoor show finishing early june and only 5 of them.

brfcstar
If Radiohead and Roses headlined V, half their crowd would desert them.
gazza_20
The issue is that the fest would have a crowd of radiohead fans going to fans who can't stand anyone else there. Would this work The Stone Roses Noel The Specials David Guetta Example Coldplay Swedish House Mafia Tinie Tempah
brfcstar
I'm kinda thinking more like The Stone Roses The Prodigy Tinie Tempah SHM Kooks Coldplay Snow Patrol Florance and The Machine David Guetta Katy Perry

thetime
the thing is v lineup is going to be pretty rubbish next year, which happens at every festival when they huge headliners. the same with download this year, they have 2 huge(mega bucks) headliners and the rest of the lineup will suffer because of it. stumabe
Not sure in what order but can see these acts appearing somewhere in the lineup... Stone Roses Noel Gallagher Kooks Maroon 5 Snow Patrol Mumford and Sons James Wombats Example David Guetta Tinie Tempah Ed Sheeran Labrinth LMFAO Professor Green One Direction Girls Aloud Dappy Cher Lloyd Professor Green
Dukeeyyy
if prodigy played there they would destroy the stone roses it would be embarrassing.
gazza_20
The Prodigy are quite heavily rumoured for R&L, i can see someone like Noel Gallagher subbing to Stone Roses instead, because he will be good but won't blow the Stone Roses off the stage, i think thats what happened in 2009 at Leeds/Reading to Arctic Monkeys.
