One band im suprised to not see there was the hives, thought they were nailed on announcing the new single and album monday. One of the best live bands i've ever seen, always put on a great show and have quite a few songs people know and the rest you can just go mental to anyway.

When was the last time they played a UK festival, maybe they don't like them or bookers dont like the band, which would be strange as a i dont think anyone would really complain if the hives were announced.

I'll be seeing them on their tour anyway :)

Does anyone else feel like we were a little cheated at this announcement? It feels like we got so few bands for all the hype. And paramore suck.

This years announcement announced 41 bands, last year announced 56 bands... We're missing half of the NME, the whole alternative and FR stages. Why?

A band shouldn't have to rely on their light show to be any good. If the music is good enough then they should be great to see in any setting.

In the tent may be better suited but they've played the tent several times in the last few years now - if anything they shouldn't have been booked again at all.

Would've thought in the context of reformation etc. that they could feasibly be there in the same (sort of) vein as DFA last year. Refused are headlining Groezrock, and billed as a major draw on Coachella line up.

Record sales etc. debatable but still think the demand is higher than a Lock Up billing.

fair point. It's just the fit of the day seems to suggest Refused in that slot. Them and ATDI both reforming this year both from same sort of scene also Billy Talent always put Refused as a major influence, it may well be reading too far in to it.

tbh i hope they headline Lock Up, would be incredible.

Could NoFx fit that 3rd spot? are they bigger than Refused?
