It's more accurate to say that the 2 are that they're playing R&L, whereas the 1 reliable source has said they're doing an arena tour, but nothing about them not playing the festival as well (iirc). While it's rare for a band to headline and do an arena tour so close the fest, it's not unheard of and there is a lot of demand to see them

Chances are they will do a tour or a festival. Its not unknown for bands to do both. But doing both will effect sales for either the fest or tour. This has been discussed but may well have been over 100 pages ago

Neil did say that the source claiming they were here for a tour in September also said they wouldn't be on the UK before then which rules them out of doing both
