Not at all, foos were always gonna head up reading on the 20th anniversary of the Nirvana headline. R&L always have exclusives, with foos playing their own gigs to 120k then isle of wight, t in the park amongst others they were never gonna headline.

Plus the opportunity to get a greatest hits set is better for the festival.

I posted it a while back that i didnt think V would get coldplay...Is there anychance i know they do a Five night tour in 4 football stadiums from the end of May into June!

Festivals pay big money and it would be a quick buck for them and would fill a two week gap in the tour later on in the year aswell?

Sorry if ive missed somthing about this, this thread is to big and to quick!

Everyone seems to be putting an indie NME headliner opposite the indie main stage headliners rather than a more rock-oriented alternative for the non-indie fans; any particular reason? There's usually heavier/alternative bands in those slots these days - Jane's Addiction, Pendulum, Lostprophets, Faith No More...

Don't take what they say on twitter bud, they never let out that they are playing. I remember everyone finding out they were playing sub again in 09 and no one knew. let's say most think it's nailed on for head or sub if they don't get announced for v tonight. if they don't played sub at v and don't at r&l, i'd be willing to bet V will take them next year over r&l as i doubt they'll play next year. if they're album get's huge, they will headline and it won't be at r&l next year, IMO.
