So, Russell from Bloc Party has said no Leeds/Reading this year on his twitter when asked if they were playing. Now i know this obviously doesn't rule them out as he's hardly going to come out and confirm .. but he seems a decent guy and could have just ignored it rather than tweet back and deny.

It used to be the case that you couldn't do either, clearly this has changed. I think the whole exclusivity thing is tosh and they shouldn't care either way

I agree that they stretched the application of the word exclusive last year, however I do think that they should care. I like the fact that they try to get headliners that aren't around much elsewhere and don't repeat headliners as much as V or T, even if it means having 'weaker' headliners.

FR seem to be fucked whatever they do.

As the person who asked this lives in London, and russell does say there will be shows closer than the sweeden and germany one, they must be playing somewhere in the UK! He just says no to specifics, most likely due to contract reasons.
