Well five of them played last year, so I look forward to them playing and people bitching about repeats or them not playing and people bitching about how the R&L line-up isn't as good as T's because T has The Horrors, Miles Kane, Frank Turner and The Vaccines.

I think that qualifies as their own gig. It would still draw potential ticket sales away from R&L if they were headlining, which is what the issue is.

How does it qualify as their own gig? It's part of the Olympic closing ceremony in which a lot of other acts are taking part. Are they curating it or organising it? I see it as being very different to a stand alone gig at Hyde Park. Or maybe that's just blind hope?

T in the park always seems to have alot of crossover with V so I would expect the majority of them to play there

Razorlight headlined in 2007, would they sub headline? No so pixies could easily play third or lower.

you make me sick by putting pixies and razorlight in the same sentence, razorlight are a run of the mill indie band, pixies are a seminal band that should never play lower than 2nd on main

Highly unlikely that The Killers will be there, i think Efests have ruled them out

from the Blur @ Hype Park announcement, I think we could get either The Specials and/or New Order. The Specials 3rd from top seems to fit well.

At The Drive In have finally announced an Euro date, they are headlining Benicàssim mid July. At least it means they are planning on playing more shows this year.

I'm guessing At The Drive-In are going to take a bigger slot than people originally thought if they play, I know you can't judge UK festivals by foreign festival line ups, but as far as I can tell, they're playing high up main stage almost everywhere they're playing. So I'm guessing something like:

Where does it say that they're headlining? In all of the articles I can find it just says they'll be making an appearance, they don't detail where on the line-up they're playing... Hoping for a high slot though!
