Good evening boys and girls - Got bored with my poster and wanted to see what you had to offer! Made up a nice little PSD/tutorial to get you started with your posters; http://www.rudzkii.com/content/create-your-own-leeds-reading-festival-poster

Regarding Machine Head as much as I'd love to see them play I think they're more of a Download band.

Don't think Motorhead would play. Don't think Anti Flag would play main.

The Cribs are bigger than Razorlight, and arguably too big to headline NME.

Justice are too big to headline Dance.

Not sure Tinie Tempah would play on that day.

Foals don't play outside.

Noel Gallagher wouldn't headline against Kasabian.

I'd argue Sonic Boom Six are too big to play that low on Lock Up.

Don't think Dropkick Murphys would play in that slot.

Public Enemy aren't the right genre for Lock Up and are too big anyway.

can't see green day or system playing next year if at all again. green day will be at t i'd say before they return if it happened to reading and then i think it'd be a own stadium tour/arena tour instead. t like to rotate they're headliners, green day have been around and even they haven't had them play instead of own shows

I was thinking of pulling Green Day but I'm struggling to think of a band that would fit well on that day with as big a pedigree. I've swapped Deadmau5 for Skrillex now and re-arranged the lockup.

Not posting the image as it's huge but here's a link to it; http://www.rudzkii.c...ages/poster.jpg

P.S am I the only one who thinks my sponsors and ticket resellers are better than the ones in place now :P

guys, i'm gonna be honest. bloc party will headline next year.

they've been on hiatus since 2009, (that s 3 years next years for any trolls)

very big popular Indi band with plenty of chart success and album sales

Nme, being a main sponsor and promoter of the festival are also very keen on them, they will also give a lot of coverage to the new album, boosting sales.

Bare in mind this band got anyway with sub-headling two years in a row, coz they're that popular.

    • What is too old for Leeds Fest now ?  I'm going to the Fontaines Saturday in a few weeks at 54 !!!  I may be the oldest there 🙂    Wythenshawe may be an option for WA.
    • Pretty much all festivals lose out on major artists because of production limitations though. Glastonbury is no different to most other festivals.  Lots of acts can/will adapt their tour production to suit festival stages if they want to play them, but some acts with stage designs and routines just don't want to adapt, and would rather just stick with a rigid, well-rehearsed production and take the money for their own gigs, whether that's a lot more than playing Glastonbury, or slightly less than playing some other festivals (but with added complications). Trying to adapt the stage, layout, access to b-stages etc to accommodate a single headliner on a Friday and then having to change it all around for a Saturday headliner isn't really a goer when most headliners can just easily adapt their show to stay on a main stage, if they're so inclined. They have a year to figure out how to perform a song on a main stage and ditch a few dance routines out on a b-stage if they really put their mind to it. It's not that difficult......
    • I would be all over Wolf Alice but may have outgrown this venue.    Also have to consider the schedule they have been on this year so may be on a break.  This last 10 days alone they did Tramlines, New York, Chicago and Kendal Calling.  Although make hay while the sun shines may come into play.
