But nothing to suggest he may be anywhere near the Pyramid as the above poster hinted at?

nope - but from where I'm sat, the info posted in this thread has around as much likelihood of being accurate as something which is mailed to me by a person who I'm not able to verify as knowing accurate info.

saw him do a song in the left field tent for the round up on the saturday i think, really good live, was funny to hear bragg baggin on him for leaving the festival to go in a friends jazuci!.

Would love to catch him at strummerville, finally found it last year and didnt even mean to,just strolled into the entrance and there it was!.

My friend met him after a gig last night in Plymouth, and he said something along the lines of: the organisers dont like me very much, but would happily play if asked! Make of that what you will! His set in the Queens head last year was definitely a highlight for me so I really hope he's playing again.

  • 2 weeks later...

It was me that sent the note to Neil recently about Frank playing Friday on the Avalon.

I am very good friends with two people who would know. One of them was with me for the weekend recently and he said Friday night on the Avalon, then when there was talk of him opening the Pyramid on a thread on these forums I checked in with him and he said then that nothing was confirmed at all at that point.

Not really sure where that takes us, it seems odd that all of the stage line ups are listed but not the Avalon stage, is it possible that they are still tying it all up?

I'll check in with my friend again in a mo.

I know you'll want to know my source but its not appropriate to say, I'm just asking you to trust that I am genuine on this.

    • Wow, way to insult the guy.
    • yougov seems to be the outlier when it comes to the Burnham bounce. But also, being a bounce, it was never going to last, but with Reform maybe on the way down, and Tories holding steady, we could end up with Reform, Labour and Tories all between 20 and 25% for a while. A lot of it at moment with Burnham is vibes, and the vibes are currently sexy and are pulling support back from Greens, but the autumn budget is key...will they go big and bold, or will they do very little because they're thinking a 2027 general election?
    • Attended a gig at Piece Hall for the first time on Saturday (Opeth), the music was excellent. Just a couple of points on the organisation & the event itself. - Getting through the gates seemed to take longer than required. I was at the South gate about 30 mins before stated start time and still missed first half of Katatonia. - Coffee stall was serving cold coffee later on. - Lots of the crowd seemed to be more interested in chatting than listening to the music. Doubly annoying when sound levels for Opeth seemed quieter than Paradise Lost, is this usual for the venue due to curfew etc? Luckily there was enough room so I could move close to the front of the crowd and couldn't hear drunken chatter anymore 🙂
    • Tickets will just be sent out via email; going out next Monday 10th August apparently.
