Just go to the Green Fields. I left mine with a stall last year for about 4 hours and they charged it fully. Cost about £2 and didn't queue at all.

Took me about an hour to find the place again though, it's like a maze round there :P

i was in the chill and charge for about 10 minutes last year to make a call... oh my f**king god!!! the amount of white and blue screens!! who the f**k would use facebook at a festival, they must be f**king crackers!!

"having a great time at glastonbury" - while theyre on facebook?

i left gorillaz early last year and walking along the back of the pyramid field (on the way towards jpt like) i could see a sea of blue and white screens on phones (only really the people at the back on their camping chairs, cant imagine it being possible down the front)

facebook is taking over!!!

holy shit, how desperate some people are for some attention/jealousy??

facebook should be banned to encourage people to have a better time

mymemory.co.uk/Portable-Power/Power-Traveller/Power-Traveller-Solar-Monkey-%26-Solarnut-Portable-Charger

You can buy a charged battery for most phones on site for £10

My phone is fully charged on the wednesday morning but when the battery goes it doesn't get charged again until I get back in the car on monday.

Alternatively switch the phone off and only turn it on when you want to check to see if you have any new friend requests...

You don't need your phone, you are at Glastonbury!:)

cheers for the tip folks...I think I'd prob need a couple of spare batteries to last me. Might still try a solar charger though as I know the girls won't bother with extra batteries, plus I have a camera that will need to keep going for 5 days....

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I'm sure there's usually something in The Fine Guide about Orange being the only mobile phone operator that bothers to put up additional masts. I'm also sure that there will continue to be some phone charging service.

I used to love the Q Daily but it's certainly got a bit too up itself in that last few years. I'd be much sadder to see the Q Glastonbury Review go.

The magazine sector's far from healthy at the moment so it would make sense for Q to strip back spending.

Turn your f@uckin phone off for f#cks sake. (apart from saying hello to your kids from somewhere discrete - granted). (And occasional rendezvousing if you must).

AND stop filming brilliant bands through your crappy sh$tty pI$$phones.

Live for now!!!!! Use your senses in the real now.

I don't want to use my phone on holiday.

And breathe.....

I was camped near the Orange tent last year and the queues outside it were embarassing, I can't believe how many hours of the fest people were willing to waste. I took a spare battery, and an old phone and sim for emergencies and was fine.

As for facebook, we nipped in there on the wednesday to check the footy score and I couldn't believe how many people were on fb, they'd been at the fest for a couple of hours and were already on it, wtf?!

As long as it doesn't effect the phone reception there then I don't mind as last year I thought on the whole it was pretty good.

And I must admit that I use facebook a fair bit myself but not at Glasto. Last year after setting up my tent and had a few drinks I think I posted a status along the lines of "All set up at Glasto now, everything on the outside world no longer exists" and that was it. Pretty much a way of saying unless you are at Glasto, don't bother trying to get a hold of me.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early.
