A big part of me was wishing they'd be on as I'm desperate to see them and won't unless they're on at Glasto or Leeds.

Would happily sacrifice one of either Chemicals/Underworld/Primal Scream doing Screamadelica to see them.

I don't expect things to come for free...

Saw them play at a secret gig at Dingwalls in Camden on Saturday. They played for two and a half hours and played the new album from start to finish and then did all the classics. Easily one of the best gigs i've been to. I'd love to seem them headline on year.

Be careful what rumours you spread, one year at Reading a band called the FF'ers played the BBC Intrducing stage and everyone convinved themselves it would be a special slot by the Foos. Of course it wasn't and the poor FF'ers got bottled and booed simply for not being the Foo Fighters.

But yeah, IOW is n England & Wales festival exclusive and if they were doing a proper set as a band they'd only ever headline nowadays.

Out of interest, were they actually ever in the running at all for Glasto this year (i.e. discussions behind the scenes etc.)?

I don't have a clue, tho I've been told previously that Glasto has had 'regular' discussions with them - or, I guess, their management. Something I've heard recently has suggested that Grolh isn't really aware of any convos.
