Do you smoke?

But if you know the person you're visiting is a smoker, why would you expect anything else?

I'm playing devil's advocate a bit as we don't allow smoking around the baby, or people who've been smoking to hold her. But adults have a choice!

JPS used to be my brand before switching to real tobacco. Then Golden Virginia became my brand of choice.

Now I don't smoke, I vape. My brand of choice is Gamucci, but I'm getting fed up of the poor build quality of their parts so I'm going to try an e-cig. I would use Blu as they're cool as f**k, but you can't get them over here yet.

I'm in the firm opinion that once you have a puff it can always come back to haunt you. I quit about two years ago. That lasted a year. I didn't go back to fagging it full time, but it's still the odd annoying one on a night out, or someone will crack the cigars out.

I only started on fags due to the bud, and as such when i'm having a break miss that a lot more than tabacco. Tobacco's kind of like a way of appeasing myself on night's out though, means i can still have that feeling of smoking without being chonged to the point where I can't hold down a decent conversation.

Only smokers think that smoking is cool, which makes it incredibly uncool!

Smoked for years, packed it in 5 years ago. I use snus now, the swedish stuff you put under your lip. It tastes good, doesn't smell, isn't antisocial, you can use it everywhere smoking is banned because no-one knows you're using it, and it's something like 99% less dangerous than smoking.

It's not.

The idea that once you're a smoker you're always a smoker is based upon the Freudian principle of oral fixation. According to him, you're already addicted to smoking before you even have a cigarette as you're already orally fixated. All you do to give up is displace the response of smoking to the urge of oral fixation, and as we know there's many ways you can do that.

Something that isn't related to the stages of pleasure fixation (oral, anal, sexual etc) will not remain latent. So for instance, you can overcome an addiction to fighting, as the urge of fighting will go away once you get rid of the response to fight. Although you may get rid of the response to smoke, the urge to *orally pleasure one's self* will never go away.

* Oh, I know!

My friend opens her window and smokes out of it when I visit - it makes me feel really uncomfortable. She also insists on going outside to smoke when she's in my house, even when it's pouring down.

I'm not an ogre, honestly! I don'tmind breathing in the odd cigarette. Though I wouldn't do it long term.

It's double glazed, has a security lock and a burglar alarm, which I suppose makes it as secure or as insecure as a normal house. Luckily I live half way up a mountain so we don't get a lot of passers by and the shed isn't obvious from the lane. Even from the outsisde it doesn't look much although it's pretty impressive inside, But if someone wants to break in anywhere they will but at least it doesn't shout 'this is worth burglaring.'.

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.

They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
