alot of people are saying it was shite, dosen't look that bad. i no for a fact music sounds alot different when your there watching it in live festival form, compared to watching it on screen. so i will reserve my jugdment-all i can say is, they do look like there about to collaps. compared to the energetic vid of of them doing the same song in 2003, ther'e looking slighty minuscule in comparison. also his voice is slighty less powerfull, but thats probably more to do with the fact hes just a bit older an aslo f**ked from all the other shows.

over all i would give them another go, they might be slighty passed there best. im sure on there day they could still pull something worth while off.

think foos have a better chance. now we no there not doing glasto

I saw a tribute called "ded hot chili peppers"

Seriously, one of the best shows I've ever seen. It was at Glastonbudget, like a 1000 person mosh pit. Was absolutely mental.

I always thought the real RHCP would be as good if not better, sad to hear they sound the opposite.

I remember when I saw RHCP one of the reasons why they were so disapointing was they had 2 fantastic live acts playing before them in James Brown & Arcade Fire, it's like making out with Frankie Sandford and then being led to the bedroom for you to have sex with Frank Black.

Bringing this topic back from the dead a little but is there now a bigger chance of them being headliners this year? It has been 4 years and before everyone complains about how bad they were, they are still ridiculously popular and a mini comeback would be a huge thing for reading and leeds to get this year. They did say they were going to play festivals and since most of the major festivals have now announced their headliners, it could happen. thoughts? :unsure:

sadly it is looking more nd more likly (mainly as i have a £20 bet they wont be at reading/leeds this year... but surly they would be doing one uk fest this year...... but then it makes u think where would they play as mcr would not be right under them sooo someone we are all sure would be there is not, well if they play that is but then with this strokes tour maybi they could take there place?

      Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.

      I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
