My friend called this morning to tell me, I was at work doing an assessment in a cafe and when I answered the phone I was like "OMG! Are you taking the Piss?" and then started squealing. Possibly the least professional moment of my life, but hey. It's Slipknot!!

The people on wikipedia are stupid, someone has put Slipknot as headlining Reading & Leeds and I changed it to Soni but then some twat told me no, changed it back and now it's locked.

Great booking for Sonisphere, really didn't guess it would be slipknot, Soni had confirmed Corey would be back this year, but he said he would be back with Stone Sour.

Sonisphere should do fine with Slipknot, if they add Blink and/or Metallica, can see it selling out for the first time

Called it a few weeks ago. Metallica definitely won't play by the way, nor Muse. Manowar rumours were mounting, know they wanted them last year but they wanted too much money...I'm thinking they've talked them down and they'll be Friday half-day headliner (like Alice Cooper this year). As for the other headliner, I know RHCP are playing Soni France, and have a fest in Asia in August, and South America in September, which rules them out for reading in my eyses...so I'm thinking RHCP as the other headliner. Would definitely give 3 strong and diverse headliners...we'll find out Monday though

Neither! It's a 2 day festival. (with perhaps a half day on the friday with a smaller scale headliner)
