hmmm... dunno how much reliable this is but HRC twitter says the Eagles are headlining one of the two nights.

Sat. headliners are *gasp* Bon Jovi.

Surely as Glasto shares some headliners with HRC (Neil, Bruce, Stevie)

we might get to see Eagles headlining Glasto?

The Eagles are an American band ME has wanted to book for ages and are, arguably, one of the biggest bands in the world (at least as a touring act) so it could be a good fit for ME's comments about who he had booked. U2, Rolling Stones and The Eagles - That would fit ME's comments across the board.

Michael was asked about the Eagles a few months ago, and his immediate response was "they want £2M" - so it sounds like he's asked but it's not going to happen.

My guess:

Pyramid

U2, Coldplay, Prince or Madge.

Other

Pulp, someone vaguely relevant, Underworld or Chems.

By someone relevant I just mean it would seem logical to have someone headlining who at least has brought out a single in the last 12 months ;)

    • It was fine, just hectic! The youngsters were mostly very well-behaved. The weather was a real bonus, although surprisingly chilly evenings - I guess it's the altitude - and the area between sound and main stage was a massive dust bowl.
    • Ive always had a lot of time for the mighty Shots, a pal of mine used to commentate on their games for Sussex Counties radio and he'd sneak me into the ground for midweek games, and we'd even nick a tea and a plate of sandwiches. This is back in the George Borg days, so um . . a little while ago now
    • Hmm, weird- Rush are playing the Co-Op live on the 12th and the 14th, and Megadeth are the meat in that sandwich - so they have to roll everything in, roll it out again, only to roll it back in and then out - here's hoping for a prog hokey-cokey with all manner of bizarre time signatures and drum solos!
    • Depends what you mean by seeing 'more stuff' about it.    I definitely don't trust the original Sun article.
