you know, I watch Simenon and Jones now, still cool as f**k and it gives you the tiniest inkling of how f**king magnificent the clash must have been in their prime.

I'm definitely with the Gorillaz lovers on here, they're a great band, innovative and interesting in a f**king seemingly endless desert of mediocrity but whatever you say, unfortunately, haters gonna hate...

I was at the Dublin show on Thurs and they were just fantastic! I was also at Glasto, right at the front, so I loved it, but I can really see how they are not a sing-a-long band for headling a festival! I also think Damon had the arse a bit at Glasto whereas in Dublin he was well on for everything! In the crowd twice! Brilliant!

What a show in Birmingham last night.

I can understand that things didn't work at Glastonbury: the show collapsed under it's own weight, the crowd were poor, and they seemed un-rehearsed. However, it was still backed up by Gorillaz tunes and was great.

But last night in Birmingham, every thing that went wrong at Glastonbury went so right, and again it had great Gorillaz tunes backing it up. An absolutely class gig, and Damon seemed to be absoluetly lapping it all up, revelling in the moment (a la Blur @ Glasto 2009).

Glastonbury didn't work entirely, this did. Thankyou Damon Albarn.

They were absolutely brilliant in Birmingham last night! The diversity of the show was great, with Damon introducing all the guests as they went on and explaining a few of the songs too, despite calling the NIA a 'shed' (probably due to the sound problems during de la soul's support...but it isn't the nicest of venues either!) even the Arabic thing in the middle was really fun.

There did seem to be lots of empty seats, I'd say around 30-40% empty, and the standing area was very spacious too...

I saw them at Glasto and hated every minute of it. So I have been moaning about them at work, and a guy I work with went to see them in Brum on Wednesday and despite my warning he was confident it would be ok.

Thursday morning, now he knows where I was coming from, totally shite, he was really pissed off, the production was terrible and the sound even worse. He also reckons the NIA was only about 1/3 full.

    • Around £400 this time, possibly slightly over.   Think what you've said sounds about right
    • Glastonbury 2025 general admission tickets cost £378.50 (including 5 booking fee ) plus £10.25 postage . what are the thoughts on next years price ? ...... im going for £395 plus postage so they can say its still under £400 ..... but I think the deposit will be £100 up from £75
    • 100% doing Knebworth, said it for a while.   Celtic, Etihad, Knebworth been signed & sealed for a number of months (I had it confirmed categorically in May). Just a case of when the dates fall, and how many.   Can't remember if I mentioned at the time, though probably not a major secret given that they were seen leaving Abbey Road on the same day - Liam/Squire album two in 2028.    Dunno where that leaves Oasis beyond 2027, though Andy is active with Ride in early 2027, so maybe it will just run alongside Oasis like that, if they carry on.

    • Dismantling that exciting young attacking team Sir Bobby had built, driving out all our creative players, and replacing them with a bunch of old crocks and has-beens ruined us. I think he's as much responsible for our first relegation as Kinnear.    And yeah this. It wasn't exhilirating football under Rafa, but he understood the club and city and gave us hope again. Him and Hughton were the sparks of hope under Ashley (+1 of Pardew's years, lets ignore the rest of them).
