Was onsite Yesterday. The sides of the roads are churned up with plenty of Mud, in place alot. In the fields all green and mainly firm underfoot, great for getting pegs in, much more rain and it'll turn as they had some terrible rain on Saturday, and there is standing water in places. All looks great down there though.

I didn't see anything about the Campervan field, oh and the enterences to the car parks are quite muddy.

Latest update from devonhammer at .. http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/69427-glastonbury-2011/page__st__204

Latest (06z) GFS run has a ridge of high pressure on Friday, but this is forced South because of the high over Greenland and the next low coming off the Atlantic although it does re-establish itself on Saturday afternoon. This could see showers on every day, some heavy, some persistent, although we could see some sunshine on Friday morning, Saturday and Sunday.

At this late stage it is still all to play for as we are caught between a high and a low. I'm sticking with a showery run up until Wednesday followed by a largely dry Thursday to Sunday, but with occasional showers.

The pre-installed weather App on iPhone is saying nice things, hazy sunshine on Friday and Saturday, unsettled up until then though....Apple seem to get just about everything else right, so i'm going with that!

The weather is a bit odd here in Glastobnury [town] at the moment. I can see the big band of rain heading our way on the Met Office charts but it's taking its time. There is no wind to speak of and the temp outside is fairly warm. We still have hazy sunshine. The longer that band of rain takes to arrive the better for ground conditions. At least the site will have had a few hours of warm hazy sunshine type weather to dry it out a bit before the next deluge.

    • TVOD are playing Blue Basement in London 2/9 with a complete EOTR/Psych Fest shaped hole before their next gig in Lyon on 8/9. Well received in the Big Top last year, reckon they're nailed on for a secret set in the Tipi.
    • Didn't they widen the entrance last year to enable them to increase the number of pitches or have I imagined this? Perhaps they might return under a different form of glamping?
    • It should forever be the Tipi.   Just as the news about Geese was shared on Twitter.
    • It really surprised me that Rock AM Ring made Download feel like an extremely well organised festival with good communication in comparison. If we were to ever try either of them again we would go for IM Park and stop in Nuremberg.     Agree that the long thin mainstage isn't great, but where the mainstage is makes it really hard to navigate when it is busy because of that choke point created by the food vendors, bar/lounges with a view of main and where the crowd is coming form second stage. The concrete is hard on the joints. The front standing is a pisstake and the communication from the fest about what is happening on site other than which campsites are filling up leaves a lot to be desired. Car parks being a free for all doesn't help either.   I think it really suffers being so far from anything other than small towns/villages that lack proper public transport and Koblenz being the closest town which you can can use to get public transport to the fest being 60km away.
    • Yeah its absolutely on me that isn't think Shinia Twain was an awful choice- i get that.  Im still of the paul simon, ELO kind of thoughts but I realise things change. Im still intrigued what constitutes legend though. Robert plant played and he wasn't a legend slot- to me that would have fitted. Is it a ' comedy ' ' good time ' slot now? Comedy isn't the right word - guilty pleasure or something like that?
