4AssedMonkey
Yeh but Elbow definitely are one of the three best bands in the world
Jailbreak
Still regret missing out on tickets for Elbow last time they played near me cant wait for the new album, whether they play glasto or not
muffin
Just been reading an article about the new album 'Build A Rocket Boys!'. Is anyone else a little worried about Guy's mentioning of writing the album with arenas in mind? I love Elbow's 'bigger' sounding music. But it's always the subtle, slow burners, that make them great. In my humble opinion.
SNUBBLE
My mate bumped into Guy in a pub in Manchester a few weeks ago. During a very long chat (which I'm not jealous of at all!) he asked if Elbow were going to play Glastonbury. Guy said 'hopefully' ... 4AssedMonkey
Masterly. Whilst I hate the venue, I may have to go and see them at Sheffield Arena.
Vanderlyle
This topic made me go back to LotFW for a couple of listens. Really is one hell of an album. Amazing start to the album for sure - three awesome tunes right there.

ghandi
Loving the new track! I am so hoping that they play this year. I would get tickets for the O2 but can't afford it with so many things to pay for before June. It would just be amazing... they have to be there! dingbat2
Just got my tickets for the warm up gig in Cambridge on 2nd March, how chuffed am I! can't wait to see them again in such a small intimate venue. (850 capacity I think) Should be a cracking evening Fingers crossed now for Glasto, nailed on I would have thought!

HastingsBoy
I notice from their site that they are playing at a festival in Luxembourg on the Sunday of Glasto. I reckon they will either headline the other stage or be 2nd bill on the Pyramid on the Friday or Saturday. Seeing them in Brighton 27th March thanks to a lovely Xmas present from my Sis and her husband.

4AssedMonkey
I think I may have just had my first moment of clash anxiety for the coming fest. Really excited about Jimmy Cliff earlier and thought "that's my Friday headline slot sorted" then just remembered that with the Luxembourg gig, Friday is probably the most likely day for Elbow, who I can't help think will be Other Stage headliners. That would really angst me out. Would probably have to go with Elbow though. But then, I've never seen Jimmy. And I'm seeing Elbow in March in Sheffield. And I don't really like the Other Stage that much. AAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!! I'm doing it already........
Boris
Headlining the Pyramid or Other surely, Probably Other. Regardless, if they are there I'll be watching them. Out of curiosity, anyone else think Leaders of the Free World is a better album than Seldom Seen Kid? I get shot down for voicing this opinion often, just wondered if anyone at all agreed with me. RoyC
Yes definitely. Some great tunes but just not as good. I was pretty disappointed for a band I love so much. I hope they return to form with the new 'un.
MEGABOWL
Sorry, I don't mind people arguing that Leaders of the Free World is better than Seldom Seen Kid (they're wrong, but it's a close call), but to call SSK a drop in form is a bit much. RoyC
I think it's their worst album so I'd definitely call it a drop in form, though not much of one
MEGABOWL
Maybe, in the same way that scoring 40 goals in a season is a drop in form when you got 45 the year before. I'd say that they've improved with each album, though.
