matt and rebecca's duets were shite.

rebecca totally bottled it and didn't sing when she was supposed to. and matt seemed really nervous, how is a guy supposed to sing with rihanna in his face? she's stunning! just a wee bit distracting..

cher was the best last night, although i still can't stand her and am really glad she's away. they can try to manipulate it all they like, but when it's down to the public vote, there's no getting round the fact that she was the least popular out of the 4 acts.

i'm still sticking with my prediction of rebecca 1st, matt 2nd and one direction 3rd. at this stage, it doesn't matter who wins though because they've all had so much publicity that i imagine they'll all get record deals.

I think One Direction might win this for some reason. I think they might have the most well known song tonight from the three acts. Not that it matters, they will be dumped in a few months to make way for another money making act from Cowell.

I see that Joe wotsisname that won last year has a new single out. It looks like it might chart at the heady heights of number 50 today.

:lol::lol::lol:

I thought Rebecca would be totally outclassed vocally by Christina Agueilera and I think she did the right thing by pretty much shutting up after Christina joined her. However - it did come across that Rebecca just had a very different voice, not as strong, but quality in it's own right.

Robbie and One Direction - my thought was simply - "How old is this making Robbie feel?" He wasn't in Take That at the time of "Never forget" but I was reminded of the line "Someday this will all be someone else's dream"

Cheryl & William - she has the confidence and movement that mean that she could do OK in this field as she develops. Her voice is the poorest of the soloists at this stage - but as good as most in the singer/rapper field. I thought she would stand up pretty well to the BEP's Fergie for example.

Matt & Rhianna - Strangely he sung better after she joined him - before she came on he looked like he was shitting himself. However - that shiny suit couldn't stop him from looking like a painter and decorator caught in the headlights next to her! Pretty funny tbf - he did just look like an avarage Joe who couldn't quite believe his luck.

My favourite would be Matt but One Direction are the right kind of act to win this programme - it leaves space for Matt & Rebecca to move on to something a bit more credible.

    • I really like the Cheap Thrills! I saw them at the Ruby Lounge in Manchester in January at one of Chris Hawkins' "Awesome Friends" nights (which i think is why I even got tickets as it wasn't listed as a Cheap Thrills show!). Very good live and some great songs. I would've gone Saturday if I'd planned ahead!
    • They also seem to be in a mission to break the US with their new major label and this latest LP   Mid afternoon, live streamed on Disney+ is arguably a much bigger gig than Kendal Calling, if they had to skip one
    • This is massively exciting. I've been curious to who will be provide vocals for their live show and this is mega!
