Had waited five years to see them and I wasn't disappointed. The crowd where I was (half way between the stage and the sound box in the middle) was a bit tame but aside from that it was everything I expected and hoped for.

Would love to catch them in Manchester in September, but I don't think I want to see them again so soon.

Fantastic stuff. phenomenal. but was to be expected. a lot was riding on them bringing it this weekend and they truly came through. hats off to them. equaled and then surpassed 2004. along with Mumfords and The National, my sets of the weekend. Not as much into some of Muse's new recorded stuff which they played, but whatever they do live it just comes across so well, so powerful. they truly are the one live act today that no one would want to follow at a festival. makes me chuckle a bit when we heard the rumour they were definitely playing but here on EFests we weren't sure if it was as headliners or not. The Stones circa 2010 would have had a hard time coming on after them.

I'm another person who only really likes a couple of their tracks, certainly not a diehard fan, but my God they were amazing. I was very impressed, will definitely listen to a bit more of their stuff now.

Was right in the front of the crowed in the middle where the "ring of death" was. I was just trying to keep my self alive, there were so many crazy bastards near the front. Same with prodigy quite hard to appreciate the music when you are so close where you can't even move!

awful setlist, but that aside, they were amazing

every time i go to see them i think 'i've seen it all before so this will be nothing shocking' and they always blow me off my feet

shame The Resistance is such a crappy album really

wish i'd seen them in 2004 when everything they'd released was gold

so glad they played Citizen Erased though. just a shame they didn't play Bliss like they have been doing recently

Have liked the 'known' Muse songs since 'Plug In Baby' but never really called myself a massive fan. My mate told me they had gone off the boil and were turning into Queen so I went to watch Pet Shop Boys.

Watched their set on TV today and AM GUTTED!!!! They looked awesome!!

I watched Muse at V in 2008 after all the hype of hearing all the hype of how they were the "best live act in the world". Was impressive light show for about 10/15mins, but after 45mins they became the first headliner at a festival I walked away from.

I'd liked a few tracks beforehand aswell, but just thought it was all a big light show, music was just non-stop guitar riffs and seemed like something you'd see at Alton Towers rather than a gig.

3people in our group went to see them and basically said they were awesome "it was an amazing show" "the lights were brilliant" etc.

There happened to be 4 of us who'd been at V and walked away who said thank god we didn't bother going to see them and sacked off music for the whole night instead as it sounded the exact same as at V.

From the above, is it even worth me cehcking the iplayer footage to see if I've missed out, or is just they aren't a band for me?

I just finished up watching them on TV. Thought they were average. Nowhere near as good as their last headline slot, it's like it doesn't mean as much to them anymore. For at least the weakest (albeit, the weakest of a very above par set of headliners) of the three Pyramid headliners. But they were still good, just nothing really special like the other 2 were. Which is kind of a shame. Massive crowd though.

I think the set list was amazingly good-didn't think they would play one of my favourites Stockholme Syndrome but they did. they also selected the best songs off the new album including Undisclosed Desires. Sang my heart out for every song-they were amazing and the best I have ever seen them live

i was at the front next to some people dressed as tellytubbies - muse absolutely nailed it, mesmerising in every way. the lights weren't on muse's standard for such a massive slot (no ufo's, satellites etc) but they absolutely annhilated it, anybody who have said that they are all about a light show are clearly wrong (although i was nearly tripping in SS when they kept flashing red and white)

best band of the weekend. the reaction for edge was amazing. strange enough i had no idea it was happening, i saw the q daily the next day and they mentioned it before it happened, glad i never caught it as i was massively shocked and pleased.

    • I wonder if he's going to get into the States for the second match against England. Seems a bit weird having players missing for certain matches but not others as the world cup moves around.
    • Quite lucky as I’ve no interest in Halsey at all so I’ve got time for some food and drink before getting in there.   But yeah… thinking I’ll have to leave early to get a decent spot for Gorillaz
