because ferguson appeals and he's wrong. this gives man utd the chance to regroup and get 11 men behind the ball before play is restarted.

as it stands, the decision is not given (rightly or wrongly) and chelsea can hit them on the counter.

Eh?

So a goal/red card/penalty is given against Man Utd. The game carries on as Ferguson looks to his video guys on the side line to assess it. When play stops, he calls the fourth official's attention to a challenge. It gets reviewed upstairs as the game carries on. He loses it and the game carries on as it has been and he loses further challenges. It gets reversed and the referee overturns the decision at the next break in play by chalking off the goal or bringing the player back on.

You don't agree with this?

only a moron who doesn't get football would agree with that.

It suits you. :)

i can whinge about cheating as i'd love it to be dealt with retrospectively. whether it's 100% sure or 75% sure as i said previously.

and poor decisions are rubbish and you can rightly moan. but i'd rather lose tonight on a poor decision than implement appeals during play.

I felt a fair score in the chelsea v man u match would have been a draw. However for the neutral like me, a chelsea win is definitely best for the league. Its put the title race back into arsenals own hands and hopefully it will go down to the last game with both having a chance of winning the league

Fair enough. Don't be winging about poor decisions and cheating then.

care to tell us how swapping the current situation of imperfect ref decisions but with perfect play from those refs decisions for a system with perfect ref decisions but imperfect play from those decisions within the game - which is what you're suggesting - is any improvement? ;)

They're both as bad as each other if the aim is perfection - but at least with the situation we have now everything is totally logical rather than anti-logical as your system is, and the game is able to be controlled because there is a ref on the field whose decisions actually mean something rather than perhaps nothing.

So what we have now wins out, before starting to think of the extra problems that would be caused by changing the world's most successful team sport into something else - which might mean it's no longer the world's most successful team sport.

that was a cracking game last night - a much much better watch than I expected it to be.

I reckon the result was about right too, cos while Utd shaded the first half, Chelsea were better in the second - tho after the first half I thought there was no way Chelsea were going to win. A fantastic goal by Luiz too.

I saw on Sky News this morning that Fergie has been moaning (off camera) about Luiz's leg out to take down Rooney, saying Luiz should have been sent off .... yet if Luiz should have been off for that then Vidic should have been off in the first half when he did exactly the same thing to one of Chelsea's players and earnt himself a yellow. Same old Fergie.:lol:

    • So we've signed a Horny Czech, and Bruno's turned up the training camp instead of doing Isak's nonsense.   Still not sure I believe Bruno's staying mind, but glad he's not doing the sh*t Arsenal are asking him to do to lower the price. If they want him they can stump up.   My suspicion is that whichever of Madrid/Man City don't start next season with Rodri will go for Bruno, and one of them will come in while Arsenal have f**ked about trying to get him cheap, which while I absolutely want to keep him, would still be good enough bants and a nice middle finger that I wouldn't mind it so much. I just wish we'd report Arsenal for tapping up.   If rumours are to be believed, we're after 2 more defensive signings, and an attacking player, on top of a replacement if Bruno leaves, having already signed a LW, 2 CMs, a GK, and some youth players. Huge churn, but apart from a couple of Bazou Toure's games for Ivory Coast at the world cup, I've not seen any of them play. Over 2 summers we've basically changed our entire team aside from the CBs.
    • I think the level of headliners Bloodstock get is varied    There's been bands who have gone on to play Download in quite a low spot like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Opeth etc.    Then they've had years like 2025 where you can argue that all three headliners are download main stage sub level    Knocked Loose right now i'd argue are 3rd down on main/opus headliner level while EC and FFDP are borderline main stage sub
