I still don't get how its not safe to stand in the premier league but it is in the lower leagues!!

That's an easy one: numbers.

I'd guess that there's a normal capacity of 10,000+ in the end of Hillsborough where that sad incident happened. Most League 2 or lower clubs (the ones allowed terracing) barely have a total capacity of that for right around the ground. The more spread out people are (particularly with high numbers of people), the less likelihood there is of those people causing (intended or not) an incident of that sort.

Looks like no Wesley

Looks like any chance of him going to Utd, or anywhere else have gone. :(

Must say, i did think he was on his way to England. Im surprised he's signed until 2015 to be honest, i mean he's won everything possible with Inter, and i couldn't see him enjoying playing under Rafa.

It's beyond me why anyone would want to swap an appartment in downtown Milano and Summer house on Sardo for Manchester. Utterly beyond me.

Other than the food obviously. And the women. And the weather. And the wine. And the culture. And the beaches.

It might surprise you to know, but some players don't want to play for Utd. Like Rooney, for instance.

I haven’t been for about two years, anywhere in England actually, but they’re not killing policemen, singing “There are no black English people” and stabbing opposing fans as far as I know.

Whatever about Arsenal (a club most LFC fans have the height of respect for on and off the pitch) there is absolutely zero chance of LFC selling our best players to Manchester Utd. This insane concept has only recently crept into mainstream media discourse.

Maybe it was for a new contract, but when a player comes out as openly as this and says he would like to play for Utd, then i (and many other Utd fans) are sorry for thinking it could be a possibility one day.

One day you'll get to realise that words like that are as meaningful as all the guff spouted by both Utd and Rooney last week. :)

    • Same’s happened at MSG recently with Rush and Phish alternating nights. I guess each band has its own unique production so their riggers will be kept busy
    • The rumour was uk arena tour late this year.  Same as Charli xcx cant be announced until Reading headline is done.
    • Latest from the sun at least is that harry is still headlining but Olivia has turned down a spot next year to work on new music and hope for 2028.   So they can't have Fender, Fontaines, Harry, Olivia and Madonna.
    • I mean I don't think EC and FFDP are borderline sub, they wouldn't be any lower now.   2025 is about as strong as Bloodstock gets yet this year only one headline would sub and the others would play 3rd down or lower.    Machine Head wouldn't sub at Download regardless of rarity, they don't sell enough tickets and I'm not sure Gojira would sub either. Their last UK tour was a mix of smaller arenas and academy dates. Ally Pally being the only London date, not even Wembley Arena.
    • live music / main stage will generally end around 11pm but theres dj’s and late goings on right till 4am if you are so inclined.   Drinks are about £7.50 a pint probably and yes theres lots of mixed drinks / spirits / cocktails available to buy   wonderful festival, back for my third year in a row and 4th overall
