Mark lawrensons pearls of wisdom when discussing next england manager. The players are so good that tactical knowledge is not that important, its all about man management. Yes becaue it went so well with mr motivation but no tactics keegan. Attitudes like this are why england are stuck in the dark age.

Managed to see Boca Juniors against Velez Sarsfield while I was out in Argentina, I would highly recommend going to a Boca game to anybody that happens to be in Buenos Aires in the future - never seen an atmosphere like it before, was absolutely rocking from the off, pretty nice stadium as well. There's a amazing place just outside the stadium which does these steak / choripan rolls for some stupidly low price which were AMAZING - def the best 'football ground' food i've ever had.

Ended up 2-1, the number 23 for Velez - Silva is possibly the dirtiest player i've ever seen play football in my life, at one point he basically realised he couldn't get the ball he was chasing so he literally did a flying headbutt into the back of the last Boca defender before the goalie, cue a riot almost kicking off, he didn't even get booked as the ref / linesmen never saw it. If anyone in england did such a thing - media would have gone absolutely bat shit about it, never seen anything like it in my life.

Very pleased with our start to the season. We were certainly helped a bit by the red card, but I think we'd have won anyway. What a dreadful reffereeing display from Atwell, no surprise of course but dreadful none the less. Several other players should have been sent off for second yellows, and we had 2 definite penalties (IMO) turned down. Very pleased to see Cesc getting back to his old self, ran the game.

I watched some of the Liverpool game yesterday - new manager, same problems. Going by their start to the season, I think a Europa cup place is very much the best they can hope for.

Oh and thoughts go out to Bobby Zamora. A real shame to see him get an injury like that as he's been superb for the last 12 months.

Care to show me the rule that says it's a foul if the player gets the ball but takes the man after?

It doesn't explicitly say "it's a foul if the player gets the ball but takes the man after", but there's more than enough in the rules to make it clear that it CAN be a foul.

Which is of course contrary to what you suggested, that it cannot be a foul if the player gets the ball.

    • Same’s happened at MSG recently with Rush and Phish alternating nights. I guess each band has its own unique production so their riggers will be kept busy
    • The rumour was uk arena tour late this year.  Same as Charli xcx cant be announced until Reading headline is done.
    • Latest from the sun at least is that harry is still headlining but Olivia has turned down a spot next year to work on new music and hope for 2028.   So they can't have Fender, Fontaines, Harry, Olivia and Madonna.
    • I mean I don't think EC and FFDP are borderline sub, they wouldn't be any lower now.   2025 is about as strong as Bloodstock gets yet this year only one headline would sub and the others would play 3rd down or lower.    Machine Head wouldn't sub at Download regardless of rarity, they don't sell enough tickets and I'm not sure Gojira would sub either. Their last UK tour was a mix of smaller arenas and academy dates. Ally Pally being the only London date, not even Wembley Arena.
    • live music / main stage will generally end around 11pm but theres dj’s and late goings on right till 4am if you are so inclined.   Drinks are about £7.50 a pint probably and yes theres lots of mixed drinks / spirits / cocktails available to buy   wonderful festival, back for my third year in a row and 4th overall
