Ive just booked 2 rooms just outside Weston Super Mare for the Monday night.

£49.95 per couple with breakfast on laterooms.

After years of driving back to Manchester for 7 hours + in a coma I decided to get a hotel room within an hour or so's drive of the festival.

And now I can't wait even more. A hot shower and meal within easy driving distance after 6 days of debauchery. And a nice refreshed drive back north on the Tuesday. Why didn't I think of it years ago!!!

We stayed at the George and Pilgrims in Glastonbury town on the Monday after the festival in 2008. It was lovely getting cleaned up, having a few pints then going for a curry not served on a paper plate and sleeping in a proper bed followed by full English breakfast the next morning to set us up for climbing the Tor!

We bought our caravan the following month as we decided we needed more creature comforts at Glastonbury in future - regrets? None! :)

I'm staying at a little alternative therapy place in Glastonbury town, it's going to be bluddy lovely :D Imagine it, footsore and worn to a frazzle, hot shower, lovely relaxation therapy session, followed by sitting in a lovely garden or lounge, depending on the weather, and a damn good night's sleep before heading off home at my leisure, avoiding the mental crowds on the train :D Ahhhh...

Been discussing this tonight. I think we're gonna do that this time, I nearly fell asleep at the wheel driving home last year and it scared the shit out of me. The only things that kept my eyes open were the tears that welled up every time anything even slightly Glastonbury related came on the radio (which was a hell of a lot seeing as it's all they were on about!) Problem is, we're moving into our new house on the Tuesday

last year we found bliss in a crappy motorway travelodge on the monday. going back again this year. it's kind of amusing to do the decompression thing as a group. i had a moment in the hotel where i actually said "dammit, i need the loo" then realised this was no longer a hassle involving outerwear and shoes.

have done the last three times because I've driven and I didn't fancy the long drive back to Warrington on the Monday night. Usually stay at the Travelodge in Bridgewater. However, this year my mate's driving and he seems confident about it so Monday night I'll be back in my nice warm comfy bed

I am STILL dreaming of the day I one day get go to Centre Parcs at Longleat after the festival but only to go to the therapy centre. Its one of the best of its sort in the country. 3 hours of lavish therapies, a pool, saunas, solariums, turkish bath, jasmine steam room and so on. You dont have to stay there, you can just visit the therapy centre. NOt sure how much but it isnt a fortune.

PERFECT way to end the fest!

Have booked in a Travelodge around 1 hour away on Sunday for £19. Me and the two kids will leave after Stevie or later if we fancy any other band. Nice shower when get up on the Monday and then miss all the traffic on the way home. Hopefully.

staying the night before the Festival this year, leaving on the Sunday after the headliners. Next year though, we've decided to take the day after option.

Would be lovely to have a nice leisurely Monday, short drive to a nice small town/village then just hang out, nice bite to eat and drive home fresh as a daisy the next day.

Bet I end up kipping in my car on a Motorway services for a few hours this year :(
