Would someone please be able to give me some reassurance regarding his safety?

To my dismay I have today learned of my sons plans to attend the Glastonbury Festival next month.

Obviously I am extremely concerned about this - Patrick is only 27 years old and has never left Switzerland before. From what I understand this festival is attended by drunks, pickpockets and even people from the country of Wales.

Would someone please be able to give me some reassurance regarding his safety?

With thanks and good day to you all.

Unfortunately I am having issues comprehending many of these postings which has only heightened my anxiety.

Does anyone know how many of these people from the country of Wales will be attending and how does one become aware when such a person is approaching?

Good day to you all.

This is a total hoax by the way. There is absolutely no way that anyone from Geneva would spell it Geneve. It should be Genève. French language keyboards have the accentuated è on it, and no-one from Switzerland would spell it like this bloke.

Fake!

Get at least one of these kinda threads every year :P although it's usually someone mega worried about all the druggies and over-sexed hippies rather than the (in)famous residents of a certain Country immediately to the West of the River Severn. Just avoid wearing a sheepskin jacket or furry boots and perhaps put on a Scottish or Scandinavian accent or something to avoid the problem of appearing to be a non street-wise resident of a land-locked European Country and I'm sure he'll be fine. Otherwise, it's just gonna be a case of lie back and think of England Switzerland I'm afraid as you're repeated mounted ninja stylee. You'll never know where or when an attack may happen but you'll defo know all about it when it does :P

sheep.gif:lol:

Oh yeah, cuckoo clocks are apparently an aphrodisiac so best be leaving it at home, and be *very* careful with the yodelling as well, it's often misheard as a mating call :P

This has to be a joke right.. he's 27!?

If it isn't then don't worry... in my experience everyone is amazingly friendly.. although whenever :D 100,000+ people get together in a field there will always be a few bad apples, but you have to be pretty unlucky to run into them...

He will have the time of his life! :)

    • Nearly half owed to UK pension funds and banks, a third to foreign investors and the rest to the Bank of England.  We can say we won't pay the interest or the loans back but who would lend us 100 billion again next year? The Bank of England are selling their portion  at the moment which I read is making things worse so we should tell them to stop but I don't really understand why that is.
    • Gotta be worth a bump for old times sake
    • Let's hope you're right - having secret set by Olivia Rodrigo would be huge. It might even overshadow the Thursday trainwreck.   We'll see in a couple of hours.
    • Yet again we’re missing the WH Sunday reggae slot
    • Occident has got larger over the years and there's relatively little overlap with mbv and OR fans that I think it would work fine as it would divide the crowd so effectively.   They don't even need to give the biggest stage from an optics perspective either, this would be billed as a secret short set and used to promote her new album.
