To my dismay I have today learned of my sons plans to attend the Glastonbury Festival next month.

Obviously I am extremely concerned about this - Patrick is only 27 years old and has never left Switzerland before. From what I understand this festival is attended by drunks, pickpockets and even people from the country of Wales.

Would someone please be able to give me some reassurance regarding his safety?

This is a total hoax by the way. There is absolutely no way that anyone from Geneva would spell it Geneve. It should be Genève. French language keyboards have the accentuated è on it, and no-one from Switzerland would spell it like this bloke.

Get at least one of these kinda threads every year although it's usually someone mega worried about all the druggies and over-sexed hippies rather than the (in)famous residents of a certain Country immediately to the West of the River Severn. Just avoid wearing a sheepskin jacket or furry boots and perhaps put on a Scottish or Scandinavian accent or something to avoid the problem of appearing to be a non street-wise resident of a land-locked European Country and I'm sure he'll be fine. Otherwise, it's just gonna be a case of lie back and think of England Switzerland I'm afraid as you're repeated mounted ninja stylee. You'll never know where or when an attack may happen but you'll defo know all about it when it does
