Wrong Choice ...

Have any of you had a major clash at Glasto, or indeed any festival, and then regretted seeing the choice that you made.

This could be because the band/artist that you saw was poor, or because you heard that the band you chose not to see was amazing.

Im just wondering, because i really want to watch Mos Def on friday night, but no matter how good he is, i have a feeling that i will have made a major mistake with missing U2.

Prodigy last year...

quite possibly the stupidest mistake I have ever ever made in my entire life. I still cant bring myself to listen to any Blur even now.

I chose British Sea Power over most of Neil Young. Caught the end of Neil and realised it may have been a bad choice, got home, bought Harvest and realised it was definitely a bad choice.

BSP were great though, I've just seen them loads of times.

Yep, missed Radiohead in 97. Couldn't get 2003 off work. Missed seeing them in Manchester in 2008 to go to Glasters.

Arse.

At glasto missing white lies to trek to dance village to give mate his tobacco - mind i could only just walk having spent much of the day at the brothers bar.

and not going to see Yeah Yeah Yeahs :P no battery on phone and didnt want to lose everyone i was with

not at glasto; missing muse at V08 to see the prodigy

dont get me wrong, the prodigy were f**king incredible, muse are my favourite band, prodigy 2nd. at the point i'd seen muse twice but not seen the prodigy

only a bad choice because i went on to see the prodigy 5 times within a year & lost my phone during the set.

I chose 2manyDj's over Bruce last year, no big deal at the time. but about october last year i went through a massive Bruce phase and hated myself for missing him!

Went to see the manics on the pyramid stage in 1999 , against a friends advice(who wished to see orbital) & was bored to tears. Managed to catch the last 20 minutes or so of orbital which was tremendous. A mood thing , I think, but a mistake nonetheless

My mate turning up on the Friday night in 2007 just as I'd double dropped and was about to go and see Fatboy Slim.

He didn't have anyone elses numbers we were camped with, which was lucky for him as he rang me approx 2 mins before I was about to go into the the tent to see Fatboy (and would have never heard it in there!)

Helping him carry his stuff across the Pyramid Stage in the mud whilst I was gurning like a cow chewing on cud was a good look to loads of bemused Arctic Monkeys fans. :P

Quite a few years back there was a clash of about 4 bands all headlining. My mind melted and I just sat at my tent and smoked (could hear leftfield on the Other Stage though). A friend came back from seeing Fliming Lips in the New Band Tent (as it was then) and said it was the most emotional gig he'd ever seen. Was gutted.

And a few years later I chose Ozric Tenticles over Sigur Ros, that wasn't one of my best moves either.
