All i have is a sleeping bag, wellies, rucksack, torch and little plastic caps to put over your toothbrush to keep it clean. I'll get my coach tickets and tent in the next week-or-so, and everything else can wait till june.

I think I'll be leaving most of my organising until after May 1st as myself, mynameisearl, ampersand and the rest of our Glasto troop are heading round to Glitter & Vodka's place for a big Glasto meeting :P Hopefully, we'll have a good idea what everyone's wanting to do reguarding tents, camping area, bands/ acts to see, areas of the sites to visit, nightlife, etc

In terms of actual stuff I've need to buy/ do:

Buy a new 4 man tent (if we decide on the group of small tents option)

Test the new tent with a camping weekend in May

Buy booze and munchies (day before festival)

Might need a new sleeping bag

Check my car is Ok (day before we travel down)

Buy spare battery for my phone

Buy some new summer clothes

Buy more novelty inflatables for our camp

Watch Jullien Temple's Glastonbury DVD another countless times

Stop annoying people at work with my constant Glastobating

if my mate ever pulls his finger out.

Well I've got Download Festival two weeks before Glasto, so anything I buy will have to be intime for that.

New Waterproof jacket, My adidas Kevin Keegan circa 1996 windsheeter has finally given in and time to get a new one.

New tent, the one I've had for 3 years had somoene fall on it at Big Chill festival, and then finally died at Reading festival a few weeks later.

Aside from that most stuff sits in the corner of the garage, boots, blankets, sleeping bag camping accessiories.

Will just bundle all my clothes in the night before along with everything else....I tend to travel to festivals fairly light these days having done over 30 of them now I know what to bring and how much of it!

You lot have set me off!

Been thinking about the gear list I need since first reading this thread and it kept me awake thinking last night. Decided to get organised and list what I need and tick off what I’ve got. Things I need to buy between now and then:

• New pair of combat shorts

• Packable waterproof (the hiking poncho I have is a bit bulky)

• New beanie hat (old one is coming undone)

• Diacalm

• Alka XS

• Hand sanitiser

• Lightweight fleece blanket

• Wind up LED torch keyring

• Small camping mirror

• Whisky/Beer

And I thought I was pretty well sorted! Also thinking about a new sleeping bag and and a cheap PAYG mobile. Will mull these over for a bit though.

I need to lose a stone and get ready for the walking :P

Have bought 24 litres of Westons organic cider (7.6%) from Tesco for the other half this week. It's on offer at round 90p per pint.

We camp regularly so think we have all that stuff sorted.

We'll be in a van (here's hoping she is fixed up at very little cost!) so need to organise somewhere to camp inside with day/too battered for hill of death tent.

am going to get some boots and gaiters just incase if I can afford it, otherwise it's my wellies.

Can't leave decision too much longer if I need to break a pair of boots in :P

I've got my travel booked, we've got a tent and most other camping stuff. All I need to do is get my wellies and a few other bits and bobs nearer the time.

Sorted

-Tickets

-Coach tickets

-Rucksack

-Sleeping bag

Maybe needs sorting

-Got a tesco tent that's lasted the last 3 or 4 years of festivals, but I'm kinda tempted to get a nicer tent. Got a job interview next week so if I get the job I might splash out a bit.

-Also tempted to make a flag (for the camp, not the stages). I've made a design on photoshop, it's just down to finding the effort to order the material and get it done.

Definitely need

- A Thermarest!

This'll be our first year in our camper van so we've got sh*t loads of new stuff to buy

All we have at the moment is:

Sleeping bag

Torch

Wet wipes

Van (though it needs its new interior fitting before the festival!)

Vintage cool box

Cooker

Wellies

We've been away in the bus twice now so we're getting there in figuring out what we need to buy but camping and being able to pop out one day for essentials and anything we've forgotten is a bit different from being stuck on site at Glasto. I'm currently ini the process of aquiring spare parts that we'll need for the inevitable breakdown (she's an old camper and it's a long way from Leeds :P )

Plus Mrs. RM will be 7 1/2 months pregnant come the festival so we really need to think about what she's going to need. Anyone got any tips?

I think I've got everything bar food and drink. Disaster today thou. I put the tent up to give it an airing. It's a bit muddy but everything's there and it's in one piece.

I fell asleep watching Jeremy Kyle, woke up and it was lashing with rain. Back to square 1, I shoved it loose in a cupboard, will try to dry it tomorrow.

Always leave packing and stuff the day before. It's the same with getting the stuff that we need (cerial etc.) from Sainsburys, I always do that the weekend before. Setting up my tent in the back garden a couple of weeks before usually comes with a couple of mates being round, which usually happens 2 weeks before.

So yeh, usually start getting wickedly excited a couple of weeks before :P

I need to pay for my tickets O_O

I suppose I might dig out the tent to check it over (probably going to be it's last outing, by the end of glasto last year it was showing signs of wear and tear), but apart from that I think everything is kicking around somewhere.

I might buy a new, larger pack, and maybe even treat myself to an airbed (last year was the poundland lilo, which lasted until saturday morning) as this year I will have my daughter to share the load.
