how much would you sell your ticket for?

hypothetical question of course, but boredom at work is overwhelming me.

Assuming somehow you could sell your ticket and get round the photo issue etc, how much cold hard cash would it take for you to give up glasto this year?

Me, probably £2500, and I'd go on safari with the proceeds.

This year, I really wouldn't sell for any sensible amount as it'll no doubt be my last for a very long time.

If I went every year, I'd haggle.

5k, spend half on me mortgage for 3 months, take some time off and go and see a bit of the world.

And even then I'd have a heavy heart. I've only been twice and one of the regrets that will live with me is not getting round to going sooner. If I had my list of festies I've attended would be much different.

you'd have to prize my ticket out of my cold dead hand before i gave it up.

ive got too many people to meet, too many bands to see, and too many old haunts to say goodbye too

its priceless!!

You are not ripping anyone off if they are happy to pay for it.

But that is the point, you will only get for it an amount someone is happy to pay, which is nowhere near a lot of the sums mentioned on here (including my own ha ha!). Nice to dream for a minute or two though!

Are you treating this as your last too then? Ah man, it's going to be such a horrible feeling when Stevie walks off stage (hopefully in the right direction, bless him). Trying not to think about the end though. :P

In it's current vein of form GF is pretty much the best party on the planet. Also I aint getting any younger so the ticket I have for June is priceless and won't be sold.

If it gets to the stage where I'll find myself going on my own in a few years though the notion might make sense. I'd hate to go to GF by myself.

    • The tickets for the back at Muse, did go on sale. I know because I bought tickets there because they were the cheapest. All in with fee's, I got tickets at £81.20 each.   So likely, sold out quickly for those wanting the cheapest tickets. Either that or sold poorly and they took them off sale and when I turn up they offer me paper ticket upgrades because they closed the back.
    • She's headlining Reading and Leeds. Not to be sniffed at. She's also done her substantial arena tour since last time.    I think she's a decent bet to do it.
    • The best Punisher stuff from the Bernthal time is probably Daredevil. Although season 2 of Punisher is a great kinda study on what Castle can be.   But his first turn up in Daredevil was an absolute blast.    I thought Brand New Day did a decent job with him.
    • Basement only getting 30 mins right at the start of the day is a ballache, how annoying
    • Urban Voodoo Machine at Molly's Chamber in Birkenhead. Always a great show, quite funny to see them squeezed onto such a small stage. Sort of New Orleans vibes, starting with a procession from the back of the crowd, and finishing with an acoustic singalong in the same direction, joined by the support act. Marvellous.      20260806_225146.mp4
