well...there seems to be a suggestion in another thread (tough the source is obscure) that the Friday night Other stage headliner is The Flaming Lips...in which case, Dizzee on before U2 would be consistent with this...

Pyramid is much more suited to his crowd demographic and perennial radio 1 playlist status. Pyramid is where he belongs.

Dont be silly its the 40th anerversiary I doubt hell headline the other stage and he definatley wont play under u2.

failthless can bugger off onto the pyramid too, thanks!! I dont really get how there is room for them if orbital and chemicals are playing... cos they wont have 3 dance headliners on the other and there's no way both of those wont headline.

This leaves me worried that there will be more chance of a nightmare clash. Would have preferred it if they just shoved Dizzee onto the Other Stage or lower down the Pyramid!

It really wouldn't make sense for Faithless to headline Other or to have three dance acts. I think Dizzee is big enough to headline Other, and it's definitely more likely to be him then Faithless if the other two are Orbital and The Chems.

Don't see why people can't fathom the idea of three dance headliners on second stage, 2004 was Chemical Brothers, Basement Jaxx and Orbital...

Who actually goes to watch Dizzee? It is quite radio 1-tastic but whether you're into dance, hip

hop, indie or all three I can't see who would actually be really into him.

Fair enough if people do but why on earth anyone would want him headlining the Other Stage is beyond me.

It's not that I don't like him or anything, but I just expected the person/band to play that slot to be a bit more impressive. Now I have to put up with the Torturous "Bonkers" when i'm at the front. He should have headlined the other stage really

I think Dizzee Rascal is growing as an artist. I always thought he was over hyped and didn;t see what set him apart from a number of clones around at the time when he came on the scene, but I've seen some live stuff of his (on the telly) with the full band and it's really good, high energy stuff with twists and turns on the arrangement and a tight set of musicians. I'd go see him.
