My current theory (it shouldn't be too long before I move on to another though) is Korn - New album out at the end of June and would fit the bill as a band who wouldn't be announced as they're probably too big for the stage.

Fingers crossed for sublime :P:P:lol:

@ Scot - Not ignoring you this time. He said that it would be anounced in a month. But then you said

I didnt hear the show, but from what your saying it sounds like he may anounce half the lineup soonish, then the rest when he can. But you lissened to the show, did he actually mean we have to wait a month, then wait longer for the special suprise? =[

Im not the typical british man. I hate waiting in ques. Waiting without a que is even worse though.

I think a good proportion of these will play... if so, it'll be the best overall lineup in the 10 years I've been going. Especailly with NoFX, Weezer, Blink, Frank Turner, Limp Bizkit etc on other stages.

Bad Religion

No Use For A Name

Lagwagon

Swingin' Utters (which could then lead to Gimme Gimmes)

Alkaline Trio

Against Me!

Millencolin

Dwarves

Spunge

Capdown

Bands who I would love to play but can't see it happening:

Misfits

Sublime

Rancid

Street Dogs

Bedouin Soundclash

Transplants

Ice T and Bodycount

My new theory (on the back of his mention in the "festival essentials" thread):

I reckon instead of two NOFX sets or a MFATGG set Fat Mike will either open the stage or play third from top as his alter ego - Cokie the clown (see my avatar pic).

I'm pretty sure I heard that theres someone they can't announce straight away when the lock-up's announced

If that's right then I reckon Capdown would be a good shout, as I think they've got some sort of exclusivity contract with Slam Dunk

So they wouldn't be allowed to be announced until after Slam Dunk, so that way it wouldn't afftect their ticket sales

Not sure how much I've heard is true but I'd say it's an alright call

I'd be happy with it anyway :P

Yeh I heard that they couldn't announce something straight away (probs do to Slam Dunk).

But with it being sold out and Capdown not even headlining could it be someone like NFG who they can't announce?

Announced "later in the month. Maybe next week actually"

Pretty sure it wont be next week though. I cant remember Mike Davies not delaying for atleast a week from the first mention of "next week"

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
