Andy copping said that megadeth is exclusive to download and will defo not play soni. I think theres a chance of metallica but im sure they would rather them hold off this year and have them return nxt year as headliner.

AC has said they won't 'do' exclusives anymore - Limp Bizkit and FNM were both exclusives for Download last year, but after the festival they signed up for Soni and R/L. What can Live Nation do? Sue them? Sure they'd win, but then they'd never work with those artists again, or their record label partners, or their friends, and LN would look like ****s and struggle to book anyone.

I really doubt he said that Megadeth are an exclusive simply because of the problems is caused last year, and even if he did that doesn't rule them out for Soni as they're free to do what they want after Download.

I'm sure i read that Megadeth were Download exclusives. I think mainly so that Download could cast doubt on the big 4 happening at Soni (not that the Big 4 was definitely going to happen at Soni, but it looked more possible before Download was announced). I don't think Download would mind too much if Megadeth would be announced after Sonisphere, all Download will care about is selling their own tickets, not what happens after.

Ive been thinking its KISS as well, as they said it wouldn't be announced until Mid May [after their tour finishes] but now it's been brought forward, maybe they're happy with the sales of tickets and realise they need to sell Soni tickets [from a Kiss standpoint]

But with the curveball notion, maybe they are headlining Friday? they would fit above Alice Cooper IMO and then FNM could still be subheadliners to IM!

Oh dear. Well I can't really afford to go to a festival this year as I've just bought a house. But the talk of FNM, Kiss, Soundgarden etc was enough to keep me interested. But the last 2 announcements have killed Sonisphere for me. Shocking. Won't be going this year after all.
