Brilliant effort from everyone and massive congratulations to Hogga and Chazeboy who should rightly be feeling extremely proud right now. You're planning has meant that there will be 3 new wells built where they're needed most :)

So we have done it. Thank you all so much. I never thought £6000 would be achievable but you all proved me wrong.

Now don't just stop we never know what we could get :P

See you all in a couple of weeks!

Superb efforts by all concerned - and huge thanks to hogga, Chazeboy & co for their doings, without which none of this would have been possible.

But as the man says, we're not going to stop with this :D - there's people out there whose daily existence is a struggle down to the lack of clean water, a thing we take for granted. Many of us will spend huge amounts on alcohol at Glastonbury, while so many others don't have water. We can each do a little bit to help this.

Let's see if we can take the main donation page to the £6k target before the festival. :)

Will there be a formal handing over cheque/presentation to a representative of Water Aid after the World Cup?

nope - the money that people have donated via justgiving pages is channelled directly to WaterAid by justgiving.

With things having been done in this way it means that the donations people have made are 100% safe from the likes of me running off with that money if I was so inclined - and that security for donations is of course helpful in having people donate, as they're able to donate with the confidence that their money won't go astray.

We're still keen for people to donate - the more that is raised the more people's lives can be changed for the better.

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
