Arcade Fire would be fantastic headliners. Don't forget Wake Up with David Bowie guesting; sends a chill down my spine.

Desperately want the Eminem whispers to be true. I very much doubt it (on the basis that the headliners seem pretty much sorted) but I'm buying a day ticket really to see The Libertines so I sincerely hope.. massive fan of Eminem, would be a great coup.

I seriously worry about the state of things when people claim noty to have heard of Arcade Fire or never even heard any of there songs. They aren't exactly Kings Of Leon but they aren't TV On The Radio either. They are a big band with a huge following and I really hope they headline the Main stage as it will be a great step forward for the festival organisers because trust me, this band will keep growing in size and it will be great foresight for R&L to say we were there first.

Honest to god Arcade Fire will absolutely own that main stage in ways the likes of Razorlight, The Killers, Franz Ferdinand and Arctic Monkeys can only dream of

They have one hell of a live show and the only thing that restricted that in 07 was the RHCP fans sitting through it.

Just listened to a few of their songs on itunes. They seem ok, but it's not really my kind of music. Don't recognise any of their songs (and I did try!)

I couldn't believe the number of people who didn't know any Pearl Jam songs when they played a few years ago. It's sometimes easy to assume that things that are well known to you should be known by everyone!

For those of you who don't think Arcade merit a main stage headline slot check this out from their performance in 2007 and weep.....ah the magical and epic memories with the sun setting & all.... :P:P

    • Never too early to start discussing next year’s headliners right?   I’m not attending this year so thought I’d get the ball rolling as I saw Weezer have a new album out in August I’d expect them to do this or Slam Dunk next year. I mean they’re probably too big for this however I think they’re niche enough that they would maybe do it, it just depends on if the fee is a bit out of range for trees.    It’ll be the 20th anniversary next year so I’d expect some throwbacks and hopefully some big headliners/acts. James has already said he’s made a mad booking that you wouldn’t guess & I think he mentioned that he’s spent something like 80% of this years budget of next years top line already on last weeks 2 promoters 1 pod (Don’t quote me on that).    I reckon they’ll try for and get at least two (not all) of the following - Enter Shikari, AFI, Weezer, Sex Pistols Feat Frank Carter, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls
    • for some reason last night watched series one of Prey on Netflix.   if Legends was written by Timmy Mallet (see above) then Prey seems to have been made by Mr Blobby.   why are all these British crime dramas so sh*t?
    • It'll be all over various Seatfillers based upon previous years at Sandringham
    • The Jayhawks 2026 UK Tour    Sept 15 – Brighton – Corn Exchange  Sept 16 – London – Electric Ballroom Sept 17 – Manchester – Academy 2 Sept 18 – Glasgow – The Garage    For you ‘americana’ lovers. They have a great song book.
    • Weezer just announced a new album & US tour so could add them to the headliner pool. Imagine they’ll do this or trees
