May I suggest Shambala - had a great time there in Northamptonshire last year - was very chilled and had a wonderful fancy dress parade :P Lovely vibe!

Off to Bearded Theory in May to see what the fuss is about and meet fellow eFest gang :P

Heard nothing but good things about it inspite of last years tornado incident ! :P

Hopefully I will get to Hop Farm just before Glastonbury even just for the day. Its a brilliant day out if your some what local, really nice and laid back, can get on the barrier just before the headliner, a nice dance tent to. Tiny site takes about 10 minutes to walk across the arena :P

Trowbridge Village Pump, not far from Bath, in July. Predeominantly folkie but reasonably broad - the sort of stuff you get on the Acoustic Stage at Glasto. About 10,000, family friendly, good food and reasonable prices.

Alchemy was one of my favourite festivals last year, such a good family based type vibe, hopefully it will be more of a success this year crowd wise. Some of the acts where outstanding & plenty of green field type things to do.

Alchemy for definite - it had the 'all-inclusive' air to it that you get at Glasto. I think with bigger crowds there this year (which there will be :P ) it will be brilliant!

Toss up between Beautiful Days and Green Man, think they're usually the same weekend. Green Man seems (to me) to have more for the music enthusiast who reaches into the furthest corners of the internet, amongst other places, (or perhaps I'm just getting old!) whereas Beautiful Days seems like a piss-up jam session organised by the Levellers. Both of which are great fun!

I went to Wychwood last year which was a lovely small festival just on the outskirts of Cheltenham. You actually camp in the middle of the racecourse! Guilfest is another nice festival I've been to on the outskirts of a town so easy to get to.

Also went to End of the Road a couple of years ago which was a wonderful - 5000 capacity but a lot are families so late at night there's plenty of room for a good dance. Acres of space in the camping areas and wonderful views across Salisbury Plain, I swear there was a clear 10 metres around my tent! And they had the Bimble Inn :P

Next year I'm can't make Glasto (cousins wedding) so am looking to do another small festival. Would like to go back to End of the Road but I'm also keen to check out Green Man or maybe Latitude.

Did Sunrise for three years, but after last year I won't bother anymore and the ticket

prices for what they are offering is insane.

Aurora in Greece was good last year, weather helped a lot.

Glade this year and Bearded Theory.

    • Very different in terms of time of game,  yet remember how excited I was before the first game in Euro 2016 having grown up not sure I would ever see wales in an international tournament. That day scraped a win against Slovakia and was just happy to see wales score and win at a tournament, little did I know we would finish in the top 4. Hope Scottish fans get the same experience.

    • I don't think I'm alone as a Scotland fan that there is no way that I could possibly fall asleep knowing we're about to play our first World Cup game in 28 years! Pure adrenaline is keeping me wide awake (and plenty of rum)!
    • Trying to stay awake for the footy so it’s just the easy option of a battery😊😉
