Because it's a VERY long way from any proven fact. There's been no research done to demonstrate that's the case.

Smoking cannabis with tobacco is proven to cause *just some* people cancer, via the smoking of tobacco along with the cannabis. That's something different to just cannabis causing cancer.

Again, this isn't me saying it doesn't, just that no one knows. Until some proper research is done, we can only guess.

It should be pointed out that cannabis was only ever banned in the first place on the basis of hearsay by one man, who had a clear religiously-based prejudice against intoxicants of all kinds. Hardly the sort of rational basis such decisions should be made on.

The point is that there's not one single thing that you can put forwards which can confirm the view you've decided to take. The point is that Eminem has refused to say things are as you claim that they are.

So why is your guess without anything to give that guess any substance the correct guess but Glastonbury's guess where there are things to give that guess substance (via his refusal to condemn his words) the hypocritical one?

It's not 'tar' that causes cancer. It's canarigens (sp?) at a significant level, and not all tarry smoke contains that.

But even with canarigens (sp?) in smoke there's far from any certainty that a person will get cancer.

Do you know that alcohol is responsible for more deaths in this country each year than tobacco is? (If you go by W.H.O. figures, rather than govt figures which only record some instances).

My post was on the apparent hypocrisy of the stance you say GFL has taken towards Eminem as opposed to others whos lyrics would also appear to condone criminal acts.

but not all criminal acts are the same. People consider some things to be more abhorent than others; presumably that's GFL's take on Eminem compared to other acts you're thinking of.

To answer your question, as others have pointed out (not that I have ever seen you concede any point on here) Eminem has pointed out in his lyrics often enough that he is just taking the piss.

No he hasn't. It is very far from clear that that's the case. But if it was as clear as you say he'd have no problem disassociating himself personally from those lyrics - something he won't do.

How many times have the lyrics to Criminal been posted on this thread now? Do you think he means those sentiments sincerely or is it a wind up/comedy piece?
