So, the majority of people seem overwhelmingly happy to have the man playing so lets nail down what we want

i'll keep mine short and sweet, top 3 wish list in reverse order

Superstition

Living for the City

and top of the pile

I Believe (When I Fall In Love It Will Be Forever)

i'll be with my missis, and should he drop that in the most magical musical space in the world i think i might just melt. most romantic musical moment. no doubt about it.

there will definitely be tears!! :P

getting truly excited for Stevie now. i was a bit lukewarm at first, was obviously always going to see him but with everything else on tap sunday night i was contemplating splitting sets ... the wife (who's not going) has talked some sense into me though, insisting i can't miss 40-50 minutes of a legend to catch a bit of Orbital (can't imagine telling my boy, currently 10-months old, yrs from now that I missed Stevie Wonder to see 'Orbital'!!!) or Rod y Gabs (who i saw about a week and a half ago and were stunningly brilliant, so that's sorted), or Jackson Browne (saturday sorts that out)

Stevie for 2 wonderful hours and then if the Levellers are playing late, i'll catch the end of that.

for the second year in a row, we are truly blessed with 3 fantastic pyramid headliners, regardless of the omission of a few acts we thought might be there (i.e. Stones, any of the Led Zep alumni acts, or mega surprise pyramid friday/sat/sun openers).

and we're almost there!

if anybody's interested, this is a spotify playlist I just put together of his setlist from the 02 arena back in '08, minus a couple of covers.

http://open.spotify.com/user/ftw/playlist/...cPIuzTSub0tHfyy

thought I'd put the Miles Davis all blues in at the beginning, just in case no one's heard it before! (I mean it's only the centerpiece of the best selling jazz album of all time, but you never know..)

Im really not on the Stevie bus at all, Id be at the jacks for this bit.

:lol::ph34r:

Seriously though, Im not trolling here, I must be missing something. Dunno what it is though. I want to love it, but it just looks like some soft soul guy going through the motions to me. I watched loads of Stevie on youtube since he was announced, havent seen one recent vid that excites me in anyway. Not one.

Someone help!!

    • Personally, I do hope Fontaines headline next year. Feels like it's their time in terms of the contemporary element - I know 2028 could equally be but I think (and speaking as an old git) they are probably the most significant band to emerge for a good few years, and they've already accumulated 4 great albums, let alone adding 5th, to field a memorable setlist.

    • Alright fair, I thought she only did BST once. Though I do question how that type of pop show will translate to a stadium.
    • yeah, but I enjoy moaning about them too much so whatever I guess.   and besides... a few years from now there will be absolutely nothing on TV except for Coben based shows so I'd best get used to it...   🙂        (for anyone who has ever read a Coben book - are the books as utterly sh*t as the tv shows???)
    • Those in the Glastonbury ‘Tour’ thread buying tickets noticed it when tickets first went on sale.   And if you look at the blocks still on sale here https://www.axs.com/uk/events/1489025/muse-tickets?skin=theo2 blocks 410-414 definitely stand out as the only seating areas without tickets available, so appears that they still haven’t gone on sale.
