3 x 70cl bottles of vodka - decanted into plastic bottles of course.

12-18 cans of strongbow

1 or 2 bottles of something to 'shot' generally aftershock or sambuca

Cherry Bakewell Cocktail to share with festival friends.....it's a secret recipe really but lets just say it's strong and I normally take at least 2 litres of it. I took 5 litres once!!!!

I'd say I buy around 20-30 pints of brothers cider whilst there also, and around 10 pints of hot spiced cider from the cider bus.

Hello All!

Just a quick question for a university project that I am doing - On average, what different types of alcoholic beverages do you take with you to a single festival event + also their quantities?

cheers

for 2 of us at Glastonbury

1 litre Gin

I litre Vodka

1 litre morgans spiced rum

3 x 2litre bottle of cider

12 cans beer

then also lime tonic and coke.

buy extra soft drinks for mixers from the shops.

then, in the car, we also have more booze and cider so we can go back if needs.

For other festivals

cider fo rthe tent.

gin and or vodka - to sneak in past the guards - always sucessful to save buying inside the barriers!

oops - i am an alco!

I take 2 crates of 24 Stella, a lot of which I give to people for the banter :P also take a bottle of 'shots' like sambuca. I prefer to buy my drink at festivals so usually about 10 pints a day.

Previous years Ive had a fiendish amount of that Morrison's rouge that Ollan got buckled on at Neil Young but it gives you heartburn that could melt the One Ring. The cocktails in the LeftField/Measures in the Bimble Inn also a winner. One year I got fluthered on Strawb Brothers. Never again.

Last two years ive had bout a dozen pints of carlsberg per day. Most of them bought at the Solly or Roses boozers. Boring I know but dead refreshing. One thing you can't complain about is the frothyness of the Carlsberg at GF.

For Leeds last year I took

2x 3L boxes of Westons Vintage Organic Cider

4x 3L boxes of Westons Pear

1 Bottle of Sailor Jerry spiced rum, bought the 2 cans of Coke to go with that at the festival.

A few cans of Gordon's G & T

Spiced rum was for the Thursday night in the campsite.

The Weston's is one box for the campsite before and after being in the arena, and one box smuggled into the arena for each day.

The G&T is ideal for washing down the tin of fruit and cereal bars I took for breakfast each morning.

For both T and Leeds last year 2 of us took:

48 cans of cider

3 liters of rose wine

1 litre of gin

70cl sambucca

70cl spiced rum

3 litres of quality vodka

48 cans of sugar free redbull and mixers for the other spirits

And then whatever I bought in the arena area when I ran out of the booze I'd snook in.

After T I had 1 litre of wine left, Leeds absolutlely nothing

For 4 of us last year:

2 crates of red stripe

3 boxes of red wine*

3 bottle of coke*

1 bottle of gin

3 bottles of tonic

Random bits of vodka etc found lying around the house

*Add these two together to make Red Wine and Coke, the ultimate festival beverage! Easy to drink and doesnt get you too hammered. I normally work my way through 2 litres of it (depending on the strength) during the day.

This year's mission will be to not polish of most of the lager on the wednesday night!
