but yeah, i learned and passed for about 800 quid so you're better off just getting him to have lessons.

I know, I will pay for him to have lessons instead but its just galling as i trained as a driving instructor a few years ago.

My wifes student finance still hasnt arrived so Ive had to spend the money I put aside for our Glasto deposits on bills. Then im having to sort out some more of the bills when I get paid as so I might not be able to go out on one of my mates 30th birthday night out.

you can rent them at arnold clark for a lot cheaper than lessons actually. that would be a much better plan if you're willing to spend the time with him.

wow... So you can!! I am about to learn to drive so that might be a great idea cheers....

EDIT: Just phoned them... £9 an hour with a £500 excess... £13 an hour to remove the excess... Includes 10 miles of driving per hour and 30p a mile after that...
