barclays online payment system. if i set up a direct debit, i can't set which day it starts from. so if i want it to come off on the first of each month, i need to work out which day to start it so it comes off on the first. but then with months having different amount of days, it'll f**k up and come off on the 3rd in march or something. bloody useless system!

Intext referencing. The biology tutor doesn't mind it being at the end of every paragraph (resulting in distincitons/merits) whilst the sociology tutor wants it after every bloody sentence (which 'lack' of referencing resulted in passes) Would be nice if she would tell us what she wanted and not talk in riddles!

Mary Portas: Secret Shopper again.

I'm sorry, if I'm going to go and buy a sofa, I'm not going to be stupid enough to go along without the size of the plan of my room then complain when I get home and find it's a bit big. That's called preperation.

Also, complaining about the "lowest price guarentee" thing - okay, they've only ever had to pay out on three occasions on that store - but why should they pay for a product that's not like for like? That's just f**king stupid!

It's a programme that has no grasp on how a business runs. Portas again comes across as rude and ineffective, no idea how she's gotten a programme of her own.

pay off my credit card bill. it's annoying that you can't just set it up to take x amount out on x day of the month. the direct debit doesn't let you choose a specific date. so i'm just having to manually do it every month.

If you contact your credit card company they can change the day they request the money from your bank in a direct debit, which you don't set up the CC company does.

If you want to pay by standing order which you set up yourself you should be able to choose the day and if not call barclays who will set it up for you.

    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!
